so does this! no pictures description or feedback! looks like someone has a friend running up the auction with them?

i would never bid on a machine on someone that has zero feedback, i don't know how much i can trust that buyer protection they claim they provide.

Plus, his response states that it has an aftermarket clutch & no other mods.

Well, I don't own a pilot, but, I'm pretty sure that the blue light, tank, wheels & rear shocks are aftermarket.

The rear shocks are stock, but the other items aren't

what alooser this was his reply to my email...

Hi,
The machine is located in Reno, NV sealed and ready for the shipping. Shipping will
be done via DAS and it will take no more then 2-3 days top (depending on your
exact location).I have a contract with Yahoo Finance so this deal must go through
them. I am sorry for the inconvenience but my time is limited due to my job,I hope you understand that I can't meet in person with you so this is the reason why I chose to sell my car over the internet. According to Yahoo Finance you have 5 days from the time you receive the machine to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not.
I work as a dealer on a cruise ship. Now I am not in the town.
All documents, including owner's manual, clear title and a bill of sale on your name will be provided along with the machine.I will use only Yahoo Finance.I need your name, phone number and shipping address so I can reserve the car for you and register the transaction with Yahoo Finance and they will contact you with all the instructions step by step on how to complete the transaction.fees).

Best regards

Do you think people really fall for this stuff?

Tell him you're in Reno and can pick it up in person at the shipping depot if necessary......

Well, he does say that you have 5 days to inspect it upon arrival.

I'm sure that if it did actually turn up you could get all the numbers off it & check the stolen property list with the police & if it is, he's screwed.

There would have to be a return address if you decided it wasn't up to par & wanted to return it.

Wouldn't there?

As far as I see it, the bottom line is, that you'd have it before actually paying for it.

No way, the only outcome will be you're out you're time and money.

Anyone that insists on using an escrow service in lieu of an in person deal is out for your money, period!

As soon as you try and meet with them they will break off all communications.

The escrow site will be sent to you as a link and look totally legit, but it will be a perfect or near perfect copy of the real site, if one even existed. It will gather all your info and money and tell you how safe you are because they're holding your money until you approve the deal upon delivery and inspection, BUT the seller is actually running the site and your money is gone 5 seconds after you transfer it.

Aw come on guys.... Does it make sense that Yahoo has an escrow service, or any of the other discontinuities you're seeing? I didn't think so, but for proof in the pudding read this; http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/autos/ ... s-52.html/ Lower on teh page you'll see this: "Please know that Yahoo! does not provide any escrow service."
