Been having windscreen bind  so time for a new windscreen.
Bit hard to explain...but my arse is telling my eyes that it's not all comfortable down there with my driving. :-)
The old Polycarb screen I made for racing yonks ago has seen lots of roost from 200HP BarraCudas,Piranhas, homebuilts etc racing at speedway and knockout events.
So replacing the ol 4mm thick with 3mm thick polycarb, easier to bend and fix.
If any of you guys ever do similar, don't use plexi,or acrylic clear etc. It's not as high impact as polycarb.
Polycarb is used for police riot shields, ice hockey protective spectator screens, fighter cockpits, bulletproof glass etc
Easy to bend and does'nt shard crack.

Still best to use some heat on the bends.Would'nt recomend a heat gun as gets too hot too quickly.
I just use a mullet dryer.

I used that stuff for my formula race car window. But over here it's called Lexan MR5 or MR5000 I think it was called. The MR stands for mar resistance. The standard plexi glass scratches real easy, even if you wipe it with a clean rag. One wipe and you got scratches right across. The Lexan MR5 don't do that.
Nice work by the way.

Baz

Pretty flash

You know you don't need that if your front. LOL :-)

If you use a very high grit wet and dry say 800 then 1200
that will take the saw cuts out.

Udo that sheet you use is great stuff,BUT only in flat applications, won't take the bends due to it's protective coatings.

Stixy course I do...don't you? :-)

Ed thanks, use the std type polycarbonate sheet so it takes the bends, the MAR won't,only used in flat applications.

Adrian the edges used to get treated by all the BusaCuda roost mate! :-)

RichyRich, yes mate nice working in the pool area sunshine.Autumn/Fall here now,so just nice pleasant weather.
Funny you ask about the future trips.Last week I spent about half a day on the phone and emails to some coastal shire councils trying to find a land leassie's contact ph#.
Been using his land(unused cattle station) for access straight to the dunes from the main hwy, saves the long round beach trip 20kms,and allows the bugtrailer use to get there.
Way too soft on the beach to try.But he's back in operation now. He's put in lots of new fencing(cutting off the tracks) and stocked with bigarse cattle.Anyway finally got his number, rang him,had a good chat and now have permission to go thru his gates etc to the backend of the coastal dunes.I'll be helping him by monitoring his fences and gates and sending him pics of any damage etc also doing temp repairs for him if needed to protect the cattle...Hmmm Tbones! :-) Also the dunes are on his lease too.So yes many trips planned.
WooFnHoo! :-)
Here's some pics from a few weeks ago, mate Rus wanted to try out his new Isuzu dual cab.Just went for the daytrip.Mine is the silver Navara/Frontier.

Here's a pic of an awesome sunset from my house not long ago. When all the tropical crap travels south to us it makes for incredible colours sunsets.
This is why I love that coastal spot, imagine watching this from the dunes, with a coldie or 12 huh?...It's why I go there...apart from the drinking,buggying,drinking,camping,drinking,fishing,drinking... :-)

Where the land meets the sea...THAT'S where I wanna be!
When the sunset blankets the sea for bed ...I watch in awe and raise my beer... and after a glug I think how lucky I am sitting here.
Then wiping my brow, beercan still in hand...I feel so special living in this LuckyLand! :-)
