Hey Thrillseekers...yep another one.
This time cutting off the whole rear brake caliper with wheel fork.
Must easier and quicker way and utilising the multi spring adjusters for the lever.
Just cut to length, make an upper tube wrap around clam bracket.Weld in a nut for bolt length adjustable with locknut.Bottom used a cut SS hoseclamp fixed to fork tube.
Then had to drill out 7/8 hand brake mount to 1" hole to fit gear stick tube.
Works great just need to buy and mod new cable tomorrow when shops open.

Bought a new inner wire for my used outer cable yesterday then fitted it all up and did the necessary adjustments and all works great.Only $7.My main cable has an inline screw adjuster long screw as well as the std ones at each end.
Now it stops with only 10mm 3/8 of lever pull off the FNR gear stick hand brake.Zero grinding.woohoo result!

Thanks mate.Pitty your not closer,I'd drop in and do the DC brake for you on your Ody.But 4,000km just a tad too far. :-)
I would do it different for you tho by using your Park/E brake Handle to pull/activate on the DC brake lever.
I would add a short cable at the end of the Ody OEM park brake cable to pull the DC brake lever, eliminating the need for a separate hand lever off the FNR gear shifter.
Also it could be done via an electric 12v pull or push solenoid depending on the mounting orientation.
This way a simple button could be added to the FNR gear knob for a quick and easy 1 handed grindle$$ gear change.
Could also just use the solenoid with the brake rubber only fitted to the plunger pushing on the DC side edge. This would be standalone eliminating everything else ie the lever, wire cable, hand brake levers etc.Just a 12v solenoid, wireing, mount and gear button.

Nice work! I saw something similar on a FL350 before. Fixed the gear grinding when switching gears. Probably helped the AB gear bearing lifespan as well.

Thanks guys.
When I get some time I'm gonna look at fabn up an electrical 12v solenoid DC brake kit instead of this all cable operated mechanical kit.Much simpler and less components.
In this setup it would activate the solenoid when the FNR gear lever is pulled up,ready braking prior to shifting.
I'm real happy with both of these done to the Revolts and hope they help out others.
Changes the "If ya can't find it grind it"
To "Grip it and rip it!" :-)
