Some good advise I was given - "treat her like you did when you first met her" It takes a real man to do this after all the STUFF over the years. Make it a priority in your life and over look all the CRAP - treat her the way she should be treated and I can promise you she will respond in ways that you will not believe, and the benefits will make you both very happy. It may take a few days for her to get over the shock, but when she does you will see the girl you once knew.

I strongly recommend the movie FIREPROOF.

Lol who could really get a chick to sign a prenup. Not happening here! We don't have much anyway. We're still young. I told her when she has a baby the firstvthing I'm doing is getting a DNA test the minute it comes into this world. She derailed on me! I feel it's completely justified. Here's why. When my oldest nephew was 5yo my brothers ol lady decided to inform him out of her guilt that she didn't know if the kid was his or his former "best friends". My girlfriend was around when all this happened to my brother. She knows the situation. DNA test turned out that it was the other guys kid! I don't know about you guys but I have a pretty short fuse anyway. That would've have led to me spending the rest of my life in prison. Guess my brothers a stronger man than I am. Plus he's attached to a kid that isnt even his. No way that's ever going to happen to me. No fuckin way! I won't say a peep. First time I have a spare minute with the kid we'll be getting a test so I'm certain. She says "if I don't trust her I should just leave" I said no, it's just a guarantee. Insurance if you will. If it isn't I'll cut ties before I'm too attached. Makes good sense to me.

There is a hell of lot more to being a Father then simply being a sperm donor. So the kid would be left with a sperm donating father who probably doesn't want him/her and a mother who made a mistake and got caught. seems to me the kid could use a Father to raise him/her.

You can not cntrol what others do - but can control what you do.

I know this started out as a joke, but I do beleive as MEN we need to take responsibilty for ourselves and the people who need out responsibility in our lives. There are many perspectives to each situation and I'm just point that out.

I will step down from my box now.

So did you guys see the decal on ebay with the tire information on it for the pilot its bid up over $100.00 - what the hell is that all about?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Pilot-FL4 ... c3&vxp=mtr" .".." .".." ."..

I see there is different listing for stickers - buy it now $85.00

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Pilot-Fl4 ... 62&vxp=mtr" ."..

Why are these always for the 89 pilot - what if you have a 90?

Rmesser- I agree with your sperm donor statement. I think highly of my brother for that. He got the test immediately after it happened so he would know. He bailed for a few weeks and rearranged his buddy's face for him as he had coming but he went back. The kid doesn't know. Probably never will. My brother and my whole family for that matter treat him great. We all love the little kid. My family is a pretty close bunch. We see each other most days. Not his fault his mother is spineless. He's my brothers son, still my nephew, my parents first grandson, all that crap. We're all attached. He's a cool kid. I'm just not certain I could handle that situation in the way he did. Actually I simply won't allow the situation to even happen to me. I'll walk away day 1 and never look back. Now his girlfriend/wife whatever I think about as highly as her as I do a pile of dog shit on the ground. What she did was not a "mistake". It was her showing her poor character. But hey, I don't need to like her. That's my brothers choice. I choose to not speak to her. All the kids in my family are treated great. Spoiledvrotten. He's the proud owner of his first three wheeler as of Christmas. He still needs to show me that he can start it all by himself every time I go over there. Lol he's my little 2 stroke addict. "smells like the Odyssey" he says. He tells his papa(my dad) "don't you wish yours was a 2 stroke". Kids can be characters for sure. I think I'm rockstar status to all the nephews. Wish I had an uncle as cool as me.

I raised a sperm donor's child....he is and will always be my son. His name is Duane.

Duane (8 years old at the time) is actually the reason I had to get married 30 years ago. I loved him so much before the wife and I got married that I used to spend a lot of time with him and his mother would get pissed off when we were gone all day without her.

Anyway one day his mother comes up to me and says "We have to get married!". The first thing that comes to my mind is that she is pregnant. Without missing a beat she tells me she isn't pregnant however, Duane has threatened to run away from home and come live with me if I didn't marry her. So she says we have to get married in order for her to keep her son.

30 years later, he is a Captain in the US Air Force and I am still married to his mother. The moral of the story is that you have to give in order to receive.

Randman - great story - glad to hear how it worked out for you. fatcat - I would like to have an uncle like you for sure.

Enough of this gooy shit and lets get back to what rally matter - our odysseys and pilots. :-)

I did want to add, that I have learned alot over the 45 years I've been alive, and I still have alot to learn. I do not want to come across like I'm better then anyone or a know it all. Believe me i have a long list of failures.
