Thanks again to all involved in planning ECJ!!!!!!

Hare and I spoke about doing a Eastern PA ride before winter, so I thought I'd start a tread to talk about it..

Any preferred dates/places?

I've never tried Paragon (officially anyway, just the back way). Any input PNUT? I'd also like to try Tower City, Kaska is always a good back up so long as Hare can lead.

Rides are usually on the weekend, how far depends on if Hare is there

With Hare = epic rides 50+ miles
Withour Hare = 20 or less miles

:)

Not much mud, Pilots and Odys are like cats - they don't like water. Rocks are unavoidable but we don't do any major rock crawling. There's lots of time for socializing - that's the fun of this sport. Depending on who is leading there may be long straight rides (Hare) or lots of spining around in the same basic area (Asaszn)

Hope you can make it
Josh

Tower City would be a ggod ride, I bet if you called them they could set up a date, campsite, etc for us, they are very rider friendly and have helped me out in the past,They have a website-www.Towercitytrailriders.com I think for all to look at trails, maps and general rules, info about the place, I have been a member for 5 years and when I ride there it didnt disappoint me(although it was on my raptor, no Pilot there yet-:( )For me it's a 2 hr ride without beer, gas stops-lol.

OK so lets zero in on a date. this coming weekend is out for me.

If any of the Farther Away Guys would be swayed by 2 days opposed to one, then I would do Sat and Sun, otherwise I figure we should stick to Sunday only.

We DON"T want to do it thanksgiving weekend or the weekend before.

SO, that leaves the 6th and 13th, is either date bad for anyone wishing to attend?
Who is thinking about making it?

Any more details on Tower City??

I REALLY prefer Saturday over Suday, is there anyway we could do Saturday?

If Saturday is a possibility I vote for Nov. 12th

Josh

PS - Keep in mind, if we do tower city, someone has to be a member for us to ride there and there is a fee to enter. i don't think you need a member for Paragon but there is an entrance fee, both require flags. It is for these reasons I have stuck to places like Kaska and the like in that area.

The main reason Saturday is bad is because of hunting, which is not allowed on Sundays, me personally Sat or Sun is the same.

I didn't know Tower even allowed Pilots or Odys i thought they classified them with the rails and buggys. I oerfer the other spots for the same reasons and of course speed limits.

Hare,

I'll rearrange my Sunday to attend. I'll second the "free" riding rather than para or TC. If everyone agrees on riding free in that area, we can save the decision for exact meeting spot for email.

How is Sunday the 13th for everyone else?

Sad to hear Pnut, wah!

great to hear Doug!

We try not to post directions to ride spots on the net that might suffer from the publicizing.

Count me in, i guess we can meet at the Cracker Barrel at I-81 at Rt61 (Frackville/Pottsville exit), 8am (or earier, if you want to eat) to 8:30am, all fueled up, ready to ride. From there we can cruise right to the spot. There is a Days Inn or Holiday inn or something at the same place.

Way cool to bring a buddy but make sure they and their ride are worthy, if we go into epic mode we don't need any stragglers holding us up.

I have a lot to do between now and then...

Sounds like its on!! I'll be bringing one or two buddies along myself, I just got a Scrambler that I'm gonna bring along with the the Pilot.

Hare, I love epic rides and I'm really ready for one since I missed the Sat. evening ride at ECJ but I am a bit concerned for our buddy Doug. I don't want to speak for him, so chime in Doug, but he's new to the ody so I don't know what that'll mean for the level of epic ride we'll have. This ride may end up a little slower, which is okay with me but I don't know how you feel about it.

Just sharing my thoughts, but I'll be behind you Hare (literally) on this one whatever you want to do is cool with me.

Doug, as far as location, I guess it'll be Kaska, unless Hare or Mikey prefer somewhere else. I agree with Hare posting directions to a riding spot isn't a good idea. How about you meet us for breakfast at Cracker Barrel then just follow us to the staging area? Give me a call if you need directions to Cracker Barrel or if you have any other Q's 610-914-6615

Josh

I am game for whatever as well, after a couple hours those things usually sort themselves out anyway.

I agree no need for a Sunday Night rescue mission but, and of course, if I can sucker someone into The 2005 POOA Outlaw Waterfalls / 901 Pub Run, you know I'm there!!

Connie must be wondering where we be at.

Cause you haven't ever made it to a POOA PA Ride Bee-otch!!

The closest you can get to sand this side of SL is PA coal slag.

wtf you going to be there this time? you know you got a place to stay(that goes for all you) Hows the torn rotator?

AND now out West MD (where that pic was from) we have the loop down and its legal again (well as legal as it gets) now all we need is a trailside bar, i will work on that.

Well so far so good , everything seems legit on the odyssey so well see, don't worry I always make sure my machine gets me in and gets me out unless I'm with my scared friends that never have the balls to go first, and I end buried for 4 hours in 40 degree rainy weather at 2 am.. so I'm done going first and being last "lol" I may ride out Sat night and crash at some cheap hotel, or leave early, I'm about 2 1/2 hours from that exit. A friend of mine may come with his 300ex...I'll check back every night and call one of you to verify directions meeting place.....8 am crakerbarrel sounds good...just have to figure where that is...
