I remember Lightspeed calling Alain at Drakart to get a new frame to replace his Crackart frame and he wanted 3000.00 plus shipping.

Hope you can find a left over at a good price, personally I would fix what you have like other off road racers do cut chop rebuild the whole machine is made up of bent short pieces of tubing and weld.

Ever looked at a monster truck frame you can see where they been repairing them for years.

Look close at off road race trucks and buggies repairs every place.

Hope your better soon how is the pain, any surgery required?

Maybe get a few buddies over to pull the body off so you can inspect and compile a plan while you heal up?

Plan your work work your plan.

The frame is un repairable. I looked it over very good. Its completely racked about 3 inches and and the left side tacoed into the drivers compartment about 10 inches. This also brought the right side over towards the left anout 6 inches. The roll cage also tweaked up and into the driverz compartment. I wont let halo try and use this frame again. The new frame will be guseted and hymes added to the front arms to aid in breakaway if he decides to play chicken with a pole again and lose. Im really glad just his leg was hurt and not anything else. It happened right in front of me and it was horrific how hard the impact was not to mention he went from 5 feet off the top of 7 foot tabletop to the bottow into a light pole

I have a co-worker in riverside with a side buisness building rails to trophy trucks, I'll ask for an estimate on how much to duplicate the frame.

There was a member on here that had a rolling frame for sale a while ago. If he still has it you could maybe part the rest out, I would be interested in the axles.

this started out as a drakart extreme and has had the upper cage and rear suspension reworked by bad buggies. the upper cage is now wider with more head room and the rear arms are 1 1/4 moly aprox 5 inches longer than stock. there is no motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) ((Internal Combustion Engine?)), trans brakes and some miscl. pieces. great project car. comes with fox shocks, fuel tank (aprox 6g) all the rear suspension, front suspension less front hubs, rear axles and cv's, steering less steering wheel, and more. this is set up for a yamaha rage 1000cc motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) ((Internal Combustion Engine?)) and a RPM gearbox. can be modified for a lot of different engines. This is a INCOMPLETE project car. please call with any questions

You could try Steve Bishop (Professional Liar), I think he had some frames for the Formula Cross for sale at one time.

Next drivers meeting...

#1 Pad all light poles
#2 Do not start UTV's and buggys at same time...prefer not to race with them at all
#3 Remove all trees from race track...really stupid having them there in the first place

I was 2 feet from halo when it all went down. To be honest I don't think they guy did it intentionally. He was jut stupid in trying to jump sideways. He went up the face of the jump from left on an angle to the right and bumped in the air. As far as steve of chucklenuts at aftershot motorspurts I contacted him asking about a formula cross frame. He can build the frame but with no tabs for anything. Says he has no fixtures for the running gear or suspension or a way to reproduce any of the original tabs. His price on the bare frame no tabs is 1000 bucks plus shipping. that's a joke a no tab frame is useless. Especially when I know of a few great chassis builders here in socal that can replicate the frame close to what it was tabs and all for under the 1000 plus shipping would be. Im gonna go to halos this week and unload for him and pull his panels off and get a good look and pics for all. If I can save the back half of the car from the b-pillar back that would save half the car and only from the b-pillar forward will need to be remade. Gonna have to call this the phoenix because this car will return from the burning ashes of this crash.

I talked with Allan at Drakart and he has a Tiger Frame that is bigger and wider in stock. He said i can have it for $4700 that's less then his cost. It comes with all a arms and rear arms, spindles, bearings, body panels and skid plates. Im sure theres more. He said he'll install the mounts to put the 583 and trany into it. I thought that sounded good. Any thoughts. Im leaving to the surgon now, be back in a few

That sounds expensive to me but I don't know what it would cost to have someone fabricate a replacement frame, before I ordered one from Alain I would strip down the damaged frame with your buds see what you guys think, like Rusty said maybe just rebuild the front half.

Whats always in my mind is your using your machines in a high risk environment every time you go out you could be faced with the same problem, so you dump 4700 into it and its like new maybe even better than new because you added gussets etc to Alains design then 2 min into the next race its back into the same problem.

This is why I always say chop cut rebuild this is off road not a car show, your not going to loose points if your frame is not 100% straight or is racked, you have adjustments on your suspension so you can make it roll straight, rack it back close as you can reinforce so its safe go race again.

Good luck with the surgeon FYI ask for copies of all your x rays scans etc they put them on DVD now and give you a copy for FREE you can post them on the web impress your friends lol

That makes alot of sense, who knows this may happen again and would trash a new car. It would be nice to have a bigger car im kind of a big guy but it is alot of cash. I talked with Kuma today and he has a fab friend who is going to come look at it. Ill need to compair cost. It already needs A Arms and spindals and body panels. Rusty is stopping by today to clean up the pilot tear the drakart down alittle to get a better look at it. We'll get some better pictures. I still havnt looked at it.

I think Allan still lives only a few miles from me. If you want me to go look at the other frame let me know. I can get pictures for you.
