I figure if it really is in excellent condition, $5975 is the most it's worth.

IMO its worth 4k and not a penny more that's if it runs as good as it looks in the provided pictures.

Its a 2000

Its the early version with the cockpit that is tighter than a Pilot the machine was built around a guy that was 5'6" tall and weighted about 150 lbs then marketed to people over 6' and 200 lbs.

It has no belt guard

It has no air box

The car came new with a rebuilt used Engine not a NEW Engine like later versions.

Some of these cars came with really weak frames little or no bracing, gussets, made from really cheap ass tubing like the quality used in cheap lawn furniture.

This version had all kinds of axle problems any jumping at all and you have to wrench on axles.

It might have cost 12k new but its worth 4k today max, it was worth 9k 3 months after it was bought new.

I drove one of these new they run really good, fast, strong, were fairly reliable other than short belt life and the axle problems, trans seemed bullet proof just geared way too high IMO.

For someone looking for a trailer queen and a camp queen that is only going to run 15 gallons of gas per season taking a ride around the dunes and impressing the crowds by running fast by them it will make the perfect machine, for a serious rider or racer who is going to run it under race like conditions PASS go buy something else.

For someone who thinks they can build a better car BUY THIS one for under 6k and save yourself 3-4k fix the problems on this one as they happen.

This car has the uprated Audi axles fitted so the axle problem is probably not as bad. I have only driven one of these models and it vibrated a bit just off idle as I took off, kind of surprised me because I thought mine were the vibrator models, it did smooth right out when it got going though.

I am 6'3" tall and 200lbs, I found it a real tight fit. It didn't have the top cover on and my helmet was about 2 inches above the top of the cage and I kept hitting my elbows on the hip rails.

Considering the way Halos car folded up like a lawn chair I would not give anything for it. His looked real scary the way if folded and he was lucky not to have been killed!!! If this is made like his with way O2THIN MILD STEEL watch out, you could be mummified inside the chassis in a roll or crash with tubing wrapped around you and in you. Buyer beware!! other than that it looks great!

I remember the one race Alain entered in think it was at Plaster City, anyways he never ran the course before and at the start of the race took off WOT (Wide Open Throttle) staring into the sun hit a series of deep whoops and lost it after the dust cleared another one of our boar members that lives in that area caught up to him took pics, (forget his name) anyways at the back of the frame where the exhaust tube crosses over the frame tube it took a hard hit and the MUFFLER tubing for the silencer smashed the FRAME tubing flat, yeah the MUFFLER tubing was stronger than the frame tubing, when I saw that pic I was sold on never buying a Drakart .

Another race he entered into the Engine locked up seems both his K&N pod filters fell off early in the race and the Engine sucked desert until it locked up, sux taking a brand new 4500.00 crate Engine and turning it into junk over a micky mouse filter setup... Riding at the dunes and riding on a desert race course is slightly different.
