I think this is the clown who posted up a bunch of plastic for sale here on the site then after he made the deals to sell them he backed out. Why someone would pay soo much for just the right front is beyond me

The auction is for all 4 fenders. And yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the same guy.

Better than a master baiter, I've already got two sets and foot tub.

I mean anything over 375 bucks is what your paying just for the right front fender because all the other 3 are still available for only 375

NOTHING I hate more than someone who gouges like that, I don't give a damn if he has them or not and the fact he has bids makes those fools look like huge fools. I have 4 complete sets of every piece of plastic for my pilots plus 2 more front fenders, money is nice but come on. Does anyone make aftermarket fenders for these things? It cant be that hard, They make fenders and plastics for almost every failed desing in history why not the pilot? Not interested in selling any of it on the other hand I could almost buy a brand new 20 14 f 350 if I did lol

Pilot plastic is very detailed compared to other plastics. I believe that is why Maier has not made them. Even the 350 remade fenders require special brackets. So whats detailed about the pilot plastics. Take a close look and you will see. The tabs that hold / lock the tub, front fenders, and side panels together are not seen on other plastics. Polaris has some tabs, but they are simple slide in tabs that do not lock like the pilot. Look at the shape of the front fender -hell it wraps around the frame on each side. try making that out of carbon fiber - fiberglass or vacuum molding. Also the thickness varies on the pilot plastic - it is strong / thicker in certain spots where it is needed.

If you bought a fl350 just to stay away from the high prices of the fl400 stuff - then you are missing out. The fl350 as just as many high priced parts. if you ride a pilot you will probably want to sell your 350 that day. No offense FL350 guys - but you know its true.

Revolt guys - How does pilot plastic compare to your revolt plastic?

If someone is ever going to reproduce pilot plastic they will either spend a hell of a lot of money or simplify the panels. Lets face it does the side panel really have to have the air scoop? I hate cleaning the mud out of that area anyway. could the front fenders be simplified by making the tub sides higher so the fender does not wrap around? Could the locking tabs be eliminated to simplify the design? Could the panels bolt together rather then the tabs?

I can attest to this first hand. Denuch let me ride his bone stock pilot. Standard travel, stock shocks. Wow what a difference! I didn't even care to ride my 350 anymore. Still makes me sick realizing I could've easily easily bought a pilot for how much I tied up in an odyssey. With the stash of parts 2 fixer upper pilots is more realistic. What a half baked scheme. I won't say I'll never own another fl350. If the price is cheap I've got parts to bring a few back to life and resell if I can make a few bucks but I want a pilot for me. I think a lot of it was me being impulsive, impatient, and plain old stupid. I'm going do it the right way this time. I don't care how long it takes. I'll wait until I save enough cash to buy exactly what I want and I'll buy it. I've got time. The tortoise beats the hare every time I read the book. :-)

I figure he set the high buy it now price because he is not really wanting to sell them but if someone meets his price he will sell them ?

I believe that you guys are referring to this gentleman that sold this fender here.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-PILOT-FL4 ... 7675.l2557" ."..

I do not know the gentleman selling these sets now and I have never talked to him but I do know that he had these two fender sets listed 3 or 4 different times early last year and the year before and they never met reserve price. I was tempted to call him a few times and try to buy both sets because he lives about an hour from me but I never had the money. I sure wish I had come up with it now.
