My dad was great at solving "behavioral issues". I think the sick bastard liked it. As fast a could get my first job and move out i didn't talk to him until i was about 19. We get along great now. Truth is he was right. Only got it when I needed it. Strange to see him with the grandkids. He just laughs. Stuff I would've been flogged for. I guess he raised his.
Exactly!
I laugh my ass off when the grand kids do something to piss off their mother then she gets mad at me for laughing until I remind her she use to do the same exact same thing, followed by how much I am enjoying seeing her get the same treatment.
When the oldest of her kids was about 5 she called here and yelled at me "I have now turned into you" after she had some kind of confrontation with the kid she realized she sounded just like me when she was growing up, we both got a really good laugh, she said "what really sucks is you were right and now I am right.
IMO the same kid has a electronics addiction I am kinda curious how this is going to play out in the end I suggested she search for a study being done so it can be documented I know he and his addiction will be a wide spread problem in the near future, if it was my child all electronics would be removed from his grasp, touchy subject because they are expected to use electronics in school, guess he gets really upset when he is not allowed to use his electronics, tablet, iphone, E games etc.
Sounds like my dad. His favorite line is "You wait until you have kids, I hope they're just like you."
