OK, you guys seam to be able to pull up all sorts of odd and obscure information.
I have seen part numbers for ProX seals and bearings but I cannot find them myself.
I would like to get the ProX connecting rod side washers for a FL350.
They are no longer available from Honda, and the similar sized parts that might fit are no longer available individually (I don’t intend to disassemble a new crank for 2 washers).
No. 6 in the image below.

I started to look at Kawasaki side washers but they run 1.5mm thick in the diameter I need.
Has anyone found a replacement part from another OEM?
A little inside information, the big 4 all use a similar structure on their 2 strokes, they probably use washers from the same manufacturer.
The whole bronze bearing material bonded to a steel backing strip is a favorite technology for the Japanese OEMs.

ProX has the washers as part of their rod kit 03.1315.
Again I do not wish to pay for the whole kit for 2 washers.
Does anyone know of a source for these washers?
Or have a ProX part number for just the washers?

Edit: stock size washer is 24x40x1
(ID x OD x thickness)

Thanks,

Lee

Will 1.5mm work?
https://www.google.com/search?q=prox++2 ... channel=sb

EDIT

Looks like 1974 Suzuki TC185 Parts used the same size might help in your search.

You have any sources in ProX http://www.pro-x.com/catalogue.asp
or in Wiseco here is their complete catalog http://www.wiseco.com/Catalogs/Powerspo ... atalog.pdf

Worse comes to worse have Speedchaser make some? Think they are just a silver coated bronze alloy, maybe even go with thicker off the shelf washers and have the crank machined to accept the thicker washers?

My 2010 Wiseco catalog in the back list thrust washers 24mm ID x 1mm thick wiseco part number W5769 have them priced at $6.29 don't list the OD

While were talking FL350 Rod Parts the catalog on the same page also list crank pins, 24mm 60mm long hollow part number W5806
24mm 65mm long solid part number W5807 wonder if Speedchaser can cut these down?

Google wiseco W5769 found below at the top of the list.

You gotta love this country, well OK, this web site.
While on vacation at the beach (family vacation – I’m not allowed to bring ‘toys’) I add a request for information.
Walk down to the beach and watch the waves push on the beach.
Wander back to the time share and there are some suggestions to how to resolve my problem.

From the first google search I like this:
https://www.hardpartsdirect.com/Product ... 3W.24411.0
The 41mm diameter is a little larger than stock but the con rod major diameter is 42mm so there will not be a clearance issue and no need to modify the part.
How do I know the con rod diameter? Don’t ask don’t tell.
I’m going to order these to start with.

Hoser, I really appreciate your willingness to jump in with parts.
Part of what I am looking for is a source that anyone can gain access to.
If it helps me get my Engine going great, if it helps the community all the better.
I don’t want to show my hand until I am sure everything fits and it fires, but then I will have something to post.
Besides, I still have to call in a favor getting the cylinder bored and doing some machine work on the head.

Thanks,
Lee

In the link you provided it says This product is a replacement for the following part(s) 03W.24381.0
03W.24381.0 looks like a PROX part number to me :-)

If yours don't pan out for any reason let me know offer still stands to ship these.

My turn at the time share comes Sept 9 to Sept 14 at Myrtle Beach some place, a friend of my mom has the place 3 bed rooms 3 baths only 2 people so they want us to come join them, wife has big ideas to swing by DC for a few days also  http://www.plantationresort.com/

OK, so Hard parts direct is in the Netherlands, where ever that is.
When you enter your data there is a drop down for Ohio USA but they do not ship there.
Nothing about their web site suggests they are not in the USA, when Al Gore invented the internet he needed to make sure foreigners couldn’t make web sites that look American.
Or dumb Americans need to check this shit our before trying to order parts.
(for our non-American friends, it’s an inside joke about the outrageous claims made by one of our presidential candidates years ago, Al Gore didn’t invent shit)

I went to the Summit Racing web site, they are located in Ohio just down the road in Akron.
Also there web site shows the washer OD (41mm).
So I placed an order, will see what happens, the parts will be shipped from the manufacturer.
I may get some notice that they are out of stock or something.

Hopefully summit will come through for you, they are made from a soft material so removing 1mm from the OD (actually removing 1/2mm) should be fast and easy on a belt sander or grinding wheel if you think the OD matters, I have never looked close at the setup but would look at things like windage and if the larger OD would affect oil migration to the bearing.

Price is right at Summit hopefully they are not one of them companies that make it up on the shipping and processing fees, I assume most these thrust washers are made by one or two different companies?

Al Gore perfected being a dumbass and being king of the environMENTAL hypocrites :-)

Dbloud,

Thanks for the offer, I really do appreciate it.
After finding the thrust washers that where 1mm larger I took another look in the company ‘catalogue’.
The larger washer was used on mid ‘90s CR250s.
I can order these from my employer and they are delivered to my mail slot at work.
It’s just too easy.
So I don’t have a need for your washers.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you.
I have been a little busy with work and flat broke.
My daughter started collage, my son is still in college and my wife is going back for a second master’s degree.
I have 3 kids in collage and the Odyssey fund is a little short.

Currently I’m working on some fixtures to press the crank.
Just a press plate, spacer and a tube with a slot.
In a few weeks I should be able to slip in a part of two per pay check.
First the rod to rebuild the crank.
Then the bearings, seals and gaskets to put the bottom end together.
Then a piston and get the cylinder bored.
Last the head, I haven’t decided how crazy to go with the head yet (machine out the damage from the bearing parts, reduce the squish to 0.04” and reduce the volume to up the compression).
I’ll get there, just not very fast.
