Not sure what you mean by left and right "breather tubes" but I think you mean the "breather tube" next to the clutch which is the vacuum line for the original fuel pump (it must be blocked off if not in use) and the other "breather tube" on the other side of
Engine is just a vent. This vent is to allow any pressure build up in the counter balancer area to vent out. It is also a Honda boo boo. Use the search box and type in "counter balancer vent mod". There is a lot of reading to do on this issue. We can help.
With regards to your aluminum tank make sure you have enough oz/min flow to the carb.
It will cost you an Engine if you get this flow wrong. Also your float valve will have to be bigger than stock one if you use no pump. Suggest you run a pump.
