Has anyone ever required a transmission fill plug and what did you use or where did you get it ??

I was thinking of something generic that a guy could buy at a local shop somewhere.
The one I made on the lathe is ok but I would like something better.

As for finding something else that'll work. I got a honda push mower for free last year with a bad mower deck. I'll check it for an oil fill plug this afternoon. I'm sure you can find something that will work. Maybe take the good one to princess auto or a Farm and Fleet equivalent and see if you can find a generic plug that'll work. Maybe in the lawn mower section. You want to stick with plastic right? I'd think it would be best that the plug was softer than the aluminum threads your going into.

Yep, those ones on evilbay are pricey! lol You can buy metric bike/atv plugs for less than $5. Can't be THAT different.
