Got my new cables and sensors from Digitron, and now we have to figure out which tach sensor to use....HELP!!!!!
Does the 350 have an electronic ignition with a tach out put?
or does it have an electronic ignition with NO tach output???
The digitron people were very helpful and sent both leads as I didn't have a clue, and had no access to my laptop,(where my manual is stored)
Hope someone remembers!!!

I have their manual, but am not sure what the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) is like on the ody??? I can't read schematics well so I need the advise of the Guru's here... I have a older dt 32 and they claim that it requires the tach sensor to run???

Feds 350 has the rare Honda Line Tach and its source is the blk/yellow stripe wire terminal on the coil. hope that helps some.

# dbn-a
This type sensor is designed for use with electronic ignition systems with an auxliary tack output connector on the ignition.
Attach the spade connector from the tach sensor to the tach output on your ignition system. route.....

#mbn-a this type of tach sensor is designed for use with electronic ignition systems without an auxiliary tach output connector on the ignition.
Attach the ring terminal to the negative side of the coil on your ignition system. route this lead......

At bottom of instructions on this one it has...
If the tach does not work as connected switch the sensor connection to the positive side of the primary winding.
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

All I can guess is that the first is if their is a plug and play connector coming from the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) itself...

And the second option has me trying to figure out how to connect it...
Nukem did fed's honda line tach have a spade style plug, or did he have to spice one in???

OK here is what I have decided to try... let me know what you think???
I will take a short wire and make a Y shaped fitting with the spade clips to attach to the coil, and the spare connection is where I will plug the tach sensor. The instructions state the tach is neccesary, as without it the digitron will automatically shut off after 10 minutes. This is good under normal conditions, after I turn key off and forget to turn off the digitron it will save the Battery!!!
PLEASE ADVISE????

I wish mine was so easy!!! I will slap some pictures of mine. It is an older version, and is not inductive pickup like yours...
The Digitron folks sent two sensors/cables. One has a female blade clip, and the other is just an "o" connector. So I will experiment with the blade fitting...
On a good note I got the EGT to read !!! WOOHOO

ok in case someone else comes across this type of digitron, the only reason I can see that the connection is different is this is set up as a batterysave funtion. If I run the egt it works with out the tach sensor, but only for 10 minutes, then it shuts down. I made a little pigtail and hooked it into my digitron, and this is what keeps the unit on. I will have to call Digitron and figure out why I have not rpm's displayed, I just haven't set it up right I am sure!!!
