Project has been stalled for some time but I am starting this back up in the new year. I have most to all the needed parts labeled and acquired to be dropped off at a new powdercoater here in NJ soon. I also have purchased some new front end items off ebay to include new rotors, hubs, bearing, complete rotor cooling plastics for the ride.

I have not had the opportunity to dive into this project. the powder coater are you said a terrible job and all the parts have had to be coated again. also my new powder coater lost all of the Engine brackets so i am looking on ebay for them curently.

I am a life long 250r fan...had every year from 86-89...the frames are notorious for cracking everwhere...my buddys 250r just exploded do to the bottom Engine mount breaking off...anyway i wanted the new school suspension ect. So i built a ltrx250r... its a 2009 ltr450 suzuki with a trx250r motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) mounted in there...its almost like the frame was made for it

Jaylow, I would drop a 310 kit on your bike. That would really make a beast of your bike.

Mudbogger, sorry to see your delimma with the 250r. I look forward to seeing you resurrect it. The frames on them are week, and a laeger frame is rare to find, and cost a LOT. When it comes to the parts for them, you can find them all over luckily. Aftermarket is huge for the trx. It's hard finding one that hasn't had the piss beat out of em from mx racing, or just being neglected. The front fenders that were on it are chopped for looks and less wind restriction. The stock fenders are full size, and there's several companies who make them. Beauty of that bike is its reliability. They're great bikes. Can't wait to see it done.

Well after many set backs finally she is completed. Compression is 197 psi, needs some carb adjustments and plug chops, front end adjustments due to the plus 2 Lonestar a arms but otherwise ready to ride.
Since last postings I assembled handlebars, fixed a very hard to find loss of spark ( replaced the entire wire harness CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) unit)replaced the headlight switch, installed grips, plastics, checked all electronics hardware including stator, voltage regulator, pulse generator for manual specs, heat cycled it, replaced all brake pads, bleed nad ran new fluid to all cylinders, and double checked all torque values on all mountings.

Word or caution, never buy any rebuilt CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) off ebay, I did for this project under the premise that my old one was bad, after changing out the old wire harness with new, and leaving the old OEM CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) in there, the thing runs great, for shits and giggles I installed the new purchased off ebay CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) and it ran terrible, nothing I could do would fix it, I was told off many a forum that these rebuilt CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) are junk and this project proved indeed some are total crap, do not be a fool like me and buy one.
