You're correct, the pressure will keep them down however there may be a tendency for them to leak due to the constant movement of the the arms. At least the glue will keep the edges sealed up. Holds up amazingly well. Every time I've needed to do any work on the front end that requires popping the ball joints loose, it seems the boots get damaged/pinched/torn. For roughly $5 each, you can just scrape the surfaces clean and replace again.
