Not totally sure but i have seen posts on here and i considered building it myself. I believe it goes to an arm/brake shoe that slows the secondary clutch to make it easier to shift from foreward to reverse without grinding.

That would be an interesting modification I would like to see.

There is a thread on that here already and it was posted recently (a few months ago ??).
It's to stop the rear driven shiv from turning while you put it in gear. This prevents you from grinding the gears (an oddy flaw). Guy used a brake from a bicycle. To me it was not set up properly but it definitely is different and I bet it worked well.

that's awesome, thank you guys for helping me try to hunt that post down, I couldn't find it. I'm glad to spark some interest.

Am I the only one who hates hearing the grind when I change gears? lol. Has anyone else thought of doing this MOD?
I thought of improving that above idea of using a bicycle brake arm and shoe, but probably line it up better than the above post, so it rests squarely and not gouge the heck outta the secondary.

If your gona fix anything I would fix that cable hanging below the frame.
If it catches something while riding it will rip the e-brake handle right off the machine or damage it.
Just my opinion.

Yes this is my machine and I am selling it,I bought a 50" side by side so I can ride the trail systems local to me, the cable is hanging down because I pulled it out so it could be seen in the pic.

I contacted the guy that had it installed and it was indeed to stop the clutch which stops the grinding, while riding this thing is a blast I am looking into buying property in N.H. or ME. and if that pans out I will keep it.
