Few more pics.
First: thx.
Second: I really like that bump tank idea. I think it is the best idea by far for fuel in my opinion. It is easy to build and install. When you talk about safety reasons I am azzuming you mean it would be an issue if you got rear ended. Yes I could see that as being an issue, but it is aluminum and won't create a spark and you could put fuel cell foam and/or a rubber bladder in it just like my race car had.
I really like your other tank the best, it looks pretty. But the fabrication looks like it would be a nightmare. I have run into that nightmare building my tank. If I was to ever do this again I think I would pass on my idea. Bumper tank the way to go. Quick and easy. I was actually going to go bumper tank but my "buddy" talked me out of it. That was stupid of me to even listen to him. Should have know better as we nicknamed him "beer poacher" and he had already had several beers.
Finished the install of the tank tonight. You will notice that I had to take a hammer to the side of my freshly painted tank. I could not install because when I welded the outer skin on, it would not clear the camber adjustment bracket. Then repainted.
Still have to 1) fuel lines 2) build fuel return check valve 3) shock savers 4) skirting 5) install front brake rebuild kit when it arrives and bleed front brakes
