Yes I know it's a MX helmet, open face with overcap visor and why I'm changing back to the streamlined closed face.
No bobblehead here,just the ramair forcing the helmet backwards trying to rip off my head.
Was considering a small upper polycarbonate windscreen to front bars but I know that would upset the radiator cooling.
But I might as well trial that idea and see what the temp sensor sits at.

I just tried this new Silicone tape I bought for my 4wd camping kit.
Seems to have worked fine...next trip will tell.

I love my MX style helmet, my new FXR is so light and comfortable, and with the slots and opening in the beak I don't notice much for bobble heading..not saying theres non. but I ride dirt bikes as well and they get maxed out on the grid roads all the time

Had a balltearer time again at the sandpit on weekend.
But not my HellCam and RZRuss
After these pics taken we headed back up the beach N towards camp.
We were at speed and ride was bumpy from 4wd ruts crisscrossing everywhere plus the downward beach camber.I was behind Russ and to the LHS and he flipped it pretty bad.He was ok but not the rzr.Drove it back and the roll bar mounts from hoody area all outa whack.Doors don't shut etc.
Now we were looking forward to my HellCam vid but nada content at all...FK

Of all the times for it to shititself why now!!!!!!
Time for new HellCam...thinkin the new GoPro Max 360

Damn on footage and crash, what a beautiful place. Now that the nytro is your baby.. does the 800 ever see daylight? Glad he is alright, surprised tires stayed on rims. Picture of the RZR post roll?

Swapping out the pod filters to a Donaldson setup today.
I'm sure it will be quieter too...but I do like the gutteral air inhalation. Like having a T Rex up ya clacker! :shock:

Finally all done,the filter mount goes across the rear sideways and made from stuff I drag home and keep for 20-30 yrs just in case! :shock: Painted black to match and all looks better than it should? :-)
It all comes out as 1 unit / Donaldson and bracket housing by only removing the OEM 2 x T25 screws that hold the fender tops.

I have same concerns Steve,the intake air now starts with a cyclonic then into a 45deg then a tight 225 into the manifold and finally down the banana runners.
The pods are the least restrictive but worst on filtering the crap that offroad and beach can dish up.
But my main priority is on the Nytro longevity.
I'm going back twe so hopefully will notice no seat ArseDyno difference? :-)

Well I decided to rejigger my 2 odd bend inlet hoses into 2 x 90deg.Should be more easier on flow.
All be known and tested this weekend...weather permitting.
We have some tropical stuff coming down from up north and should be beneficial to some nice ocean sunset buggy pics.

I'll be using my CRAPD system to monitor any power changes.
Cockpit
Rapid
Arse
Power
Dyno :shock:
All data will be deposited on special absorbant paper.
The more data deposited. .....the more power! :-)

CRAPD results showed def loss of kick relative to throttle demand.Bugger! The faster I went...the rush just wasn't the same.So conclusion is my ass just didn't feel the need to grip it like a Limpet! :shock: so more work needed here.

In the meantime I made up some 1"-25mm alu spacers.Used the 2 1/2" spacers that came with the Revolt as patterns.
Lots of drilling with an old Bosch drill press that uses a std drill clamped in as the power source.Very wobbly and like trying to do brain surgery with an axe! But tests your patience and techniques. :-)
Hardest were the 21mm hole clearance for the 20mm sockets.

If the filter allows the proper flow for that Engine which I’m sure it does. A jetting change should have you back soiling that seat in short order.

I'm not in complete agreement on this, from my perspective the more fuel you can burn the more power you can produce, agreed if you are restricting the air in you will need to rejet to get that making the most bang for your buck.
I have to say, the filter itself looks like it has plenty of surface area for the air flow needed

Just came back from bugcamping longweekend.
Had to test out the new old throttle cable I made up for the Revolt plus test out the drive clutch I rebuilt on my mates Rzr.
All went well and driven back on trailers today Monday.
Sunset not too shaby either. :-)
Bloody cold night tho as we're going onto winter.

I checked my max speed option from the Speedhut gps gauge and showed 90mph down the beach edge

Made up the adapter for the FL250 yoke to Revolts quick disconnect.Tomorrow prep for some silver paint.Then onto the cable mod.More room in the cockpit plus easier leg access/dismount.Depending on later trials I might also install a steering quickener Howe 2:1 like I did in the Drakart

:-) Just an update on the steering yoke.
Tried out a new technique of CFibre painting.
Start with black gloss base coat.
Then lay an anti skid rubber mat with silver paint over.
Then finish with clear coat.Not easy with the varying shape of the yoke.
Now onto a Howe 2:1 steering quickener mod.
