Edit: Just thought of something. Tomorrow I'll go see if I can find a double 90* hose. That'll work if I can find one in this hick town.

I think all you have to do is "sign in" which means sign into google.
If I'm wrong on that then let me know and I'll make them public for a while and then delete them later.

You should set them to Unlisted if you only want people with the link to be able to watch it.

I could see both videos, that would be a tough task to achieve in the Odyssey Its a shame you do not have a bench Dyno.

Come on Lotto!

I was actually going to film it with my camera if the idle part of it passed the test.
I might have to make one of those bench dyno's.
I already made a brake dyno.
Might have to put the bench dyno on my list of things to do. I did look into that though before I built the brake dyno. The reason I passed on it was because of the high rpm it would run at. The brake dyno only runs at less than 1000 rpm. Even at that low rpm we had an explosion in my shop that nearly took of my brothers left ear. He did get hit in the back by shrapnel but none of it went right through the seat. Only damaged it. The metal in the seat frame saved him and the radiator saved his head.

They already make dynos for snowmobiles. In retrospect I should have said Engine test stand so you can run the Engine outside the frame at a bench level to make it easy. https://straightlineperformance.com/dyno-center/

When I designed the Engine cradle for my 440 Pilot I was going to make a stand on my bench with wheels for testing other engines I collected under the bench so they were ready to drop into my Pilot and run, but I never did after finding the current Engine to be low hour rock solid reliable. I should build another Engine mount for the Rotax 583 I want to test in a Pilot some day. IMO it would be way too much power for my use but would be nice to drop in my 440 Pilot if I ever go back to Glamis where you can use all the top speed you can get.

Also by changing the input shaft on my 440 Pilot it allows me to change the diameter of the driven clutch for even more top speed without over revving the Engine. If I was a annual Glamis visitor I would already have the Rotax 583 setup :-)

cool CO. Is the purpose of a reed cage to allow the air/fuel in on the draw stroke and then hold compression on the compression stroke? Seems a lot to ask of reeds

Yup that's what they do but that system works great.
I prefer to run fiber reeds because if they break they just get blown out of the exhaust. If you run the metal reeds and one breaks then it's all over for your Engine.
The reason for this experiment in the first place was just to actually see how far the reeds open at full throttle and under load.
The experiment failed but failure is an option in my shop.
I just love playing around with these machines. I really want to do a nitrous direct injection but can't find any solenoids fast enough. I've already looked into it and all the injection time I got is about two milliseconds or slightly more. The reaction time of a coil alone is two milliseconds. The other problem I got is that I'm not electrically inclined and I don't know what kind of electronics I need to trip the solenoids. I want direct injection because there are many issues with the reeds if you attempt the "standard" injection method. Hence the reason for this experiment in the first place. There is always a reason :-) .
