My Name is Marc and I'm from Oklahoma City, OK. I purchased two FL350's in the Fall of '07. One for me and one for my son. I went through a tedious but fun restoration on both of these Odysseys this winter. They are jsut about ready for the dunes or whatever else we can get into. Thanks to everyone at this site who was very helpful during my restoration process, also thanks to Randy at OdysseySalvage and Mario at Palmetto Motorsports...Sounds like I won the Oscar or somthing..We will be heading over to Little Sahara this spring ('08) so I look forward to meeting some of you here as I have chatted with some of you through this forum. HURRY UP Spring!! Were chompin at the bit to get out there and roost on some quads.

My son and I are intending on being at LS on President's weekend, hoping for good weather. If you get a chance, come out and look us up.

Since Presidents day falls on Monday the 18th, are you guys heading down for the 16th,17th & 18th(Sat,Sun,&Mon)? If the weather breaks tomorrow I will be working on the trailer. Since I know you guys are going I will put in some extra time on the trailer this weekend and the next in hopes of having it ready, Hope 2 see you guys. If I can make it i will PM ya'll. Take Care...Marc ::-: X2

I let Toyman know about your interest in his 350. I live in Warr Acres. Where are you in Tulsa. I have been working in the Tulsa area for the last 13 years so I am quite familiar with some of the area. I will have to get my butt in gear to be ready for Presidents weekend.I have never been to LS so I don't know how overnight arrangements are usually made, like tents, trailers, motels, etc. How do you like your 250's. I have never ridden a 250 just the 350.I almost bought a 250 for my son and a 350 for myself cause I was on a budget when I started this project. Then I decided for only 1000 more I could have two 350's, although by the time I put the two buggies in the condition that I wanted them I ended up spending more than I expected as usual! I also thought it would be easier to keep up with 2 of the same vehicles. Talk to ya later...Marc

Little Sahara has lots of camping, tent, RV, whatever you want. Sites with water and electric are about $16.00 per nite, basic tent sites are about half of that. Virtually all of them have a BBQ stand and campfire ring, there is usually someone selling firewood, about $20 for what amounts to about a day's supply, or, bring your own.

Riding, at least for the last several years has cost $7.00 per day, you pay at the gate or the ranger station.

At this time of year, the main campground will be the only one open, there are plenty of sites there, some paved, some sandy, some sunny, and some shady. There are bathrooms and showers, showers are coin operated, you can get clean for two bucks or less.

Spring thru Fall all three campgrounds are open, the North and Cowboy are a bit quieter, but, remember this place is full of gearheads, so someone will always be revving an Engine.

Right in town are a couple of motels, one is pretty basic and old, I think prices are around 40 bucks, there is also a near new, much better setup that has kitchens, I believe the prices there are around 70 bucks.

Also in town are a number of houses you can rent, go to Little Sahara's site, some should be listed. You can ride your Ody's right into town, the town has finally realized that is where they can make some money.

Ted and I have not made arrangements yet, however, I am thinking of staying in one of the kitchen type units since my hauler is not really ready for camping. If, however the weather is really nice, we may just stay at the campground and sleep in the truck or trailer.

Depending on the weather, there may or may not be many people around there. While this is not a really big place, it is pretty easy to get lost if you don't pay attention. The area is about two square miles and the perimeter is completely fenced so you can't get too terribly lost. We will be more than happy to show you around.

There is a pretty good variety of riding terrain, open sand, small to medium dunes, and lots of trails thru the trees. I would expect there to be quite a bit of water there at this time, mostly at the bottom of dunes and in the trails, watch out for it until you get accustomed to it as it will really make the belt slip.

I had hopes that Toyman would come with something, he is always great fun to be with, hopefully he has something around to ride.

Curtis, if you get one, you will really enjoy the difference on a 350 vs the 250, you will be amazed at the greater ability and agility of the machine.

LS will have a lot of water. The other day I flew over it pretty low and got a great view. Virtually every dune had a "pond" at the bottom of it. This place does not dry out quickly this time of year, especially with more rain on the way... That's OK wet sand = good traction :-)

Yo Turbo I'am confused. Is it the teacher or the students. I hope the student are trained the to the best of your ability our lives depend on it. Maybe some of us car drivers should attend calsses maybe get a truck drivers prespective on how bad some of us drive and the effect of a big truck smashing a little car to pieces. Then maybe those narrow minded drivers will give those trucks a little more room and think twice before cutting in front of a big truck. By the way do you take blood pressure medican. Just kidding. Missed ya at LS I keep checking for when you can get this way. Stix will try to attend as well there is a shortage of 350 odysse representation. I hope stix will earn his nick name soon. So far he a great trailer set up for two odysses. I would never had quessed there where two in there. Maybe, pac man. When he dives in the odysse off of a big one maybe, "stix it" or" stix master" will do. I did get to see him get some air of a couple of razor back I though Oh Ya, boys got skill. I do belive that a lunch at the dunes watching you two compare notes would be most enjoyable. I'll supply the cold ones

They were loaded with lettuce, tomato, mayo or mustard(your choice), pepperjackk cheese, mmmm Whew, what a way to finish off a ride in the dunes. LOL Hope ot see ya in your Ody at the dunes. Me and my Odys felt kinda lonesome with all the Pilots there!!

Hey Marc,
Charlie here just due south of you between Newcastle and Tuttle, off Morgan RD. I've got a 350, but didn't know anyone else around here had these things anymore. We need to meet up, maybe you can educate me LOL...seriously! I think my carb needs some tweeking, I'm too scared to get it going to hard after my rebuild. I fired up the 250 last weekend OM, it was a hoot. Needs new tires though.

BE VERY AFRAID!!! Some of the driver's out there in 18 wheelers are scary stupid!!!

I am sad I missed the big get together, but we will have to try to do something at least once a month... Ya'll being so close it should be easy... I am 600 miles away and woundn't mind driving the pick up truck up there.. My son is out for spring break soon, and would love to get up there for a few days when he is off...
I bought him a 2006 cr125r for $2200.00 and what a deal that was... I need to replace the right radiator today and change fluids and he will have a good race bike... I want to take his 1996 and pimp it out so he has a dune bike also... He wants to powdercoat it flourescant pink with Black Plastics??? Couldn't talk him into purple and Yellow???
I need to get busy on the ody, need a new axle as I think the 39mm pwk has torn them both up now!!!
Lets do something soon!!!
