I have a stock Fl350 and a water cooled FL350. I have read good reviews on the Yamalube 2-R from Yamaha racers and others. Online pricing per quart of Yamalube is about half the price of Honda HP2. I went through 10 pints of Redline racing oil before I switched to HP2, but at 7.00 a pint I thought about using Yamalube 2-R for about half the price. I remember reading somewhere that Yamalube doesnt burn as clean as HP2. I wont reduce quality of oil for the sake of a lower price, however I am a blue collar man and need to watch my budget when I can especially now that Unleaded is 3.39/gal and rising.

I don't recall hearing or reading anything bad about the 2-R from Yamaha oil, I was going to use the Yamahaha oil when I switched from Golden Spectro but found the Amsoil to be less expensive per gallon than the Yamahaha oils so I have been using that, the 2-R was 2nd on my list, I quit usind the Golden Specto oil after they almost doubled the price...

I see its still only $108.20 for 4 gallons

I use the oil for outboard motors because it has better rust protection than their ATV oils.

I have been running Yamalube 2-R for about 5 years in my Pilot and have been happy with it.

... on price- the way gas is going up, the oil will be the cheaper portion of the pre-mix soon!!! Gas is $4.07 per gallon at the cheap places here on the central coast of CA; up from the bargain price of $3.98 late last week!
