Hello worked on Fl350 fender brackets today

and got the rear bracket closes to the front

I end up using 6061 1/4 thick aluminum

so far so good I like the way it's going to look
will be posting on each bracket
there are five different styles on the fl350

thanks for looking

Really nice. I am mad that I already have a spare set now. I am going to have to dig through my parts boxes and make sure I am not missing any. You are a great asset to the community speed.

Hello Made some head way today
finished up the rear back bracket and started the rear center brackets
the rear has a tight bend which was fun had to heat aluminum up to aprox 650 deg. F.
so i will not crack.
The rear center as some wicked bend to it also but the shape was fun too so it would not hit fender.
This project as been a good challenge and is fun! Just to let every body know that each bracket has been drawn
up as it would be flat before the bending. then bend the part to get the hole to line up too.
then put it into production.
this process takes time but in the end i will be able to make the next batch much faster because all the hard work and documentation is done all ready

Thanks For Looking

SpeedChaser

A bracket goes on the shock bolt? Hmmmmm, the bolts I bought may be too short now.

Keep up the good work Speed & save me a set.

Nice, to say the least. Save me a set too. I'll send you to money for them and the tranny very soon, when I finish moving.

I had to change a battery in a 5 ton work truck yesterday morning with a windchill in the Minot ND 50-60 below windchills. That is real-deal cold. Warmer over here in Montana this morning, but couldn't be much colder I guess. lol

Hey, that's a fine looking shock with a screw in it. lol Is it doing what you needed it to do?

Gary

the rear shock bolt is a shoulder bolt the shank of the bolt is 15mm the threaded end is 14mm x 1.5 by 109.5 mm long
which is aprox 4-5/16" long with the stock bolt installed with new bracket it is flush to the frame on threaded end.

thanks
