Well I got some good seat time on the new beastie today and already have a list of things that will have to be addressed!
REAR SHOCKS
This thing reminded me of the ODY before I put some Works Shocks on it! The rear end bounced or Bucked quite a bit, made me sore in places I didn't used to get sore LOL
I asked the PO and he said ATVRACING rebuilt the stock shocks. Now he was a bit (25-30) pounds heavier than I am and this might be the problem. I haven't jumped it enough to tell if it is bottoming out, but it sure does buck! I also have several spare bodies of front and rear shocks that I might be willing to trade for some good aftermarket shocks! I don't know if I have the tools to rebuild these???

The Stock Seat is in CHERRY condition so I want to address the shocks first before I decide if I want to change that around. It does make me feel like I am sitting up higher than the suspension seat in the ody, or even the stock seat in the ody seemed lower?

The Stock Seat belt is pretty cherry too, So Cherry I took it off and put it inside the truck so the wind and sun don't weather it or rip up the tag! Since I want to be able to Race this thing I will need an up to date 5 point seat belt!
(ADNOH Read your PM's) Maybe someone will want to trade???

The clutch I have on the pilot is a Powerbloc, I have always liked the one on the Ody, and I have a OEM Honda Drive Clutch that someone might use! I have not had the chance to even take pictures of this yet, and have no idea what kind of shape it is in, but cosmetically it looks great!

This Pilot also came with a full set of stock a-arms which I will keep until I can convince ADNOH to show me how to do a long travel like he did! I don't want him to do it for me, but to TEACH me (if at all possible LOL) how to make this with the A-arms that are on the ODY. I am hoping to use the longer arms on the ody and take the stock arms and put them on to the 350 when I am done! Kinda kill 2 birds with one stone Or maybe find a set of 450r arms to trade.

motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) seems to be running good, I want to put a bigger Carb on it and see how that will mate up with the torque pipe it has. For now I will use the 39mm I have been using on the ODY while Hoser re-does the 350 motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? ))! When he is Done with Hoserizing the 350, I will send him the 400 for him to work his majic on!!!

One thing I noticed while changing the fuel filter, the fuel switch, ON OFF RESERVE has a small trickle in the off position... Not real good when you are trying to change the filter, and might be why there is so much crude around the carb vent tubes? Any one know a simple fix to this? Is this a common problem? Are the switches even available???

Even with the rough ride, this thing is a blast to ride, And I hope to get it into tiptop shape soon!
I want to replace the rubber boots, and bearings just in case but quite honestly the PO Took damn good care of this thing aqnd it migh not need it???

So your thinking ATVR might have changed the valving on the rear shocks ? maybe you can install one of the spare sets to see if it rides better?

Whats the tire pressure of the rear tires?

I was thinking the guy that did turbo's port work on his 350 at ATVR also did the work on the shocks :-)

tire pressure is 4-5 lbs I have not looked over the box of shocks yet, but I would have to swap springs I think???

If the spare shocks don't have springs just take the springs off the other shocks, its easy as hell to remove install the springs.

Heck Turbo why do a Hacker set up when the yoda kit seam to be the best bang for the buck. I just like to be different. The yoda set up is progressive which means after the you install them you can upgrade as you go. If you do some woods racing the stock or +2 set up may be the best. Plus you gotta add some kinda of bling to the machine to make it yours. Ican not wait to see theresults. Did you notice that "H: added a razor to his message body. Proud owner or what. Maybe he will add you new bling machine once it's blinged out. Go ahead and pimp your ride.

After lookng at your picture how about calling it "Turbo's Texas Tornado" (aka: T T T)

Hoser and Mike rode mine with the YODA kit installed -stock shocks, they might be able to shed some light on the kit for you Turbo, I love it, I have set my shocks(Foxs) to 60/40 on the valving which is light and soft in the front, I would recommend to you for the riding you do, going heavier on the settings, it will be way to soft(fox airs I am speaking off here).I think Yoda has 2 kits already ordered, mine is being built and I think somebody else here has ordered a kit as well, so expect a delay in getting it.

Try ATVRacing for the arms.

When we got our 3 pilots with one needing a lower arm I got an entire set for spares from them for $100 an arm and they look nearly new. Guy I talked to on the phone said they had quite a few that are take-offs from pilots they put their long travel kits on.
