LOL, now Jerry, you want me to believe that a 50 something year old such as yourself is not energetic? You can always come up and help me do some of the body work on the Charger to burn some of that off!!!!

You've heard of Route 66? Well up here I am Grampa 66.

I am beginning to think I should go get a new hip, and pair of knees, just worried it could be worse after.

Looks like good times indeed, great ride reports. Maybe Yoshi was cutting corners to keep Ted in the camera's view? Ted does a good job of keeping us Pilot guys on our toes for sure! Dennis next time pull starting GEO use a stick, heh heh. Good thing you didnt wrap it around your wrist . With everything going on in my world I might not be able to make LS until the fall. Although if time allows I'll make it over during the summer just to get it out of my system. Glad you got your suspension dialed in Adnoh, just think if you get that Revolt you get to do it all over again :-) , labor of love i guess. Jerry you are probably the "eldest" cat running around those dunes so give yourself credit for riding with us young'uns.

Wish I knew what camera he was using the quality looks pretty nice and 200 bux is a good price, suspension seems to work nice.

Im not sure but the Vholdr look like a good prospect. Someone here on the forum tested the 720P version.

I think he cut corners to save gas :-) The 45 min ride that most of the video you see took me no more than 2 gallons and I was leading most of the time and pretty high rpms. Yoshi said he burned 9 gallons during that time while following me. Of course, on the way back to camp I was in high gear, low rpm and he was still hard on the throttle. None the less, he did a great job in a big car on the trails.

Suzuki Hayabusa, that buggy is a lot bigger and heavier than the Tigers, bound to use more gas.

He actually has a smart car with a Hayabusa going into it, seems to like them.

I believe Yoshi said he was using a POV

Looks just like this one

http://www.flickr.com/photos/pointofviewcameras/

But I believe the $200 is just for the waterproof case / mount that holds the camera...
As I believe Yoshi's got trashed when it was mounted on the side of his car as he followed the Tigers...

Yep, that is what they looked like, it may well have been what you said, I just heard 200 bucks and thought it was for the entire thing, and yes, the case on the one he had when he was following me was trashed, I suppose the other looked the same..... now you have me wondering if the trashed one was the one Yoshi had when following me, or if it was the one Ted had on his hood following Yoshi, not sure, maybe they were both in the same condition. When he asked if he could record us, I think he said he had six of them, that begins to add up pretty fast.

North of north campgrounds. I like you can reserve spaces. I think the only way to reserve at North & South camp is to get there early and set up a tent or park. Folks will show up days before they arrive to ride and pitch a tent, ha i said "pitch a tent" :-)

Access by car or truck is from the first street north of the access road to the north and cowboy campgrounds. It actually backs up to the access road but there is a hill there so you don't see it. ATV access is from the ATV trail to town, take it along the north access road, cross over at the turn, then you can turn into the campground from the access road before you get to town.

The good, it is quiet except for the trains, no one tuning their engines or driving around in the campground. The campsites are way bigger than the state campground, they have electric and water at all sites, the drive thru sites in the center also have sewer, lots of nice trees and shade along the sides where we camped. We had a 'standard' back in site, with my truck, FL670's trailer, Ted's Expedition and trailer, room to park all the toys, and a leftover area in front of my truck of about 20' by 20' with table, grill and fire ring.

The not so good, they cost $30/night (but are way larger than the state campsites so you can share with more people), San-o-let instead of a bathroom (but they were really clean), no showers and they are further from the riding area.

One thing we saw that was new since the last time we were there is what looked like rally large storage sheds, turns out that they are little cabins with air conditioning which would work well for someone who doesn't want take an RV along. We didn't check on the cost, look up their website to check on them.

Once again the state left a ton of money uncollected, I rode for three days and only paid for Friday, if you can believe it or not, I paid on Friday but no one collected on Saturday, and on Sunday, the guy didn't even come out out of the toll booth so we just rode thru. I figured there had to be at least a thousand riders, the price is now $10/person, so the uncollected amount for the weekend could have been 20 grand or more.

I remember seeing signs that your suppose to drive to the other end and pay for the wrist ban their, if nobody is at the south end entrance then go to the main office to pay, sounds like they need new management :-)

Nice pic's Fl670R. Good thing some one got out thee camera. After the pull start rut ru. How did the 670 run. How does you 670 d0 on fuel compared to a pilot. Those drakes and busa put on a nice show. I take it you were along for the Sunday drive. Anyway, thanks for sharing the pics.

The 670 ran good....

It doesn't have near the top end of the Draks or busa, but I was able to run close enough not to get left behind...
I switched to a 26" rear tire for this trip and I believe I did gain some top end....

I didn't get a chance to do any big air jumps but I did burn thru about 12 gallons of gas.

Surprisingly enough thou the twin is actually not that hard on gas - It drinks slower than a stock pilot....

It did act funny for about 1/2 a ride on Saturday but I believe it was "User Error" as I might have topped it off
with my gas jug for the Drak (aka - non premix - oops)....

I run ETG and Temp gauges and they stayed within normal operating ranges...

oh well
Dennis

It is actually quite fine and usually very soft....

It had been raining a lot and thus was still wet for most of this ride...

Made for a much faster time in the trails and many of us didn't even use paddles...

Whats the max RPM your seeing with the 670?

Any more problems with coolant in the oil over flow?
