I don't think about it much but when I do it really pisses me off and I vent, it makes me feel better.

Many of you will have no clue what and who I am talking about but way back when 10 years ago we were a nice happy little group.

For more than 4 years we had a killer website that was made killer by all the info put on it. This info was put there by guys like you and me. There were plenty of personalities but more important there were plenty of POSTS, posts about everything we went through to fix our rides, posts of our rides and posts about other things, some political, some personal, some of other hobbies, not always agreeing and sometimes outright arguing, but everyone was entitled to their opinions and allowed to speak it.

Then came along a crew of like minded individuals that decided hoser was bringing the ship down and it was time for him to go, Hoser had always been the focal point of all the pilot odyssey stuff on the internet. This had been coming for some time but I did not see nor believe it, but I was wrong. It seems that behind the scenes and for some time Kiowa, Moskito, Redrider and a few others had been plotting to have hoser removed from the posting site he created. Kiowa took control and named it his (legally), then when their plan to overthrow the great Hoser failed, Kiowa said he was no longer going to run the board, so several of us asked to take it over, guess he didnt count on that cause after a few back and forths where it was plain that he was lying, he stopped responding and kept it on his own.

Now really I don't care about kiowa, moskito and red and all the BS that came with, they can take their ball and run all the way home, but what I do care about is the killer threads that were in there, there were killer ride trips from all over, great tech stuff and all the evolution what Pilots and Odysseys are today. So what I am saying is lets let all things be forgotten, water under the bridge but for Christ's sakes GIVE US OUR HISTORY BACK!!!!
It can't mean anything to you guys no matter how it used and it would mean so much to so many guys that really ride.

Its always good to vent them rants and as always I enjoy reading yours.

The way I see it let it go, their is no Pilot or Odyssey problem we currently can not solve here and now we don't need anything from the darkside to make this happen or to make this site better or more enjoyable than it already is.

We restarted here ----> Board started: 16 Dec 2003 01:40 pm looking at the numbers we been heading in the right direction ever since.

Bottom line kiowa can stick the message board I built and he claimed ownership of straight up his fat ass proof we don't need him is seen here daily....

I can't tell you how many times I looked for a post that I know existed only to realize it was there and not here and is gone forever.

Sometimes I see a post with a question that could easily be answered with a simple link to a previous answer (that no longer exists!).

What post I never have that problem...

I have on disc about 55k post from the old site, they are in some shitty format kiowa was testing but they are still their never the less it would be like searching 55k html files not a data base like on this site, I would need a word phrase from the post a phrase that would kick the post up in a search.

Before I extended my hand to any of the darkside mutts I would spend a day retyping the info here on this site, why, because I am hard headed? NO because I seen the soul of the darkside they are bad to the core they didnt just have a momentary lapse of reason when they pulled their shit, then again I seen things that the general public didnt have access to.

I am sure many will say that it was all my fault the site with the -dash- is gone! My hunch is the darkside didn't like the exposure that My afterthought ordeal generated so he bought the site from Kiowa??? Just a hunch!!! Like the redman hunch I had!
I first stumbled onto lude's board, and didn't have much knowledge of Odyssey's or forums for that matter, and was impressed the TECH GURU's bothered to answer my silly questions...
In Hindsite Gary, Nuke em is the only one who turned out to be worth a flip! The rest just set me up to get noobied by the likes of chucklenuts at aftershot motorspurts!!!
I then was lucky enough to have found this site, and was impressed by the vast technical information and links to any question I had!
I did like the Original Hoser creation, The Site with the dash turned out to be all about the cash!!! LOL
I did enjoy hearing and corresponding with the guys from California, since that is where most of my loads were going at the time... But alas I got BANNED from this site that really only was a source of entertainment more than info... I see how Hare misses the ride reports ETC...

IF you had anything to do with its closure I would think it was because kiowa was embarrassed how the users of that site was treating you, you have to admit that was classic display of the darkside jackassery.

I doubt kiowa turned it off because of anything you said.

The turning off of that site was "Funny" that single action speaks volumes to me it probably don't mean anything to most, I am sure most don't even understand the significance.

SEE kiowa was SO worried about the well being of the Pilot Odyssey community he had to claim ownership of my work for the betterment of the Pilot Odyssey community, he was going to save the Pilot Odyssey community from hoser LMAO, well that was the excuse of the day, its how he rationalized his darkside activities to the world.

I am sure their were some that bought kiowas lies and complete line of bullshit.

WHERE is that mutt today, what happen did his resolve run out, or did kiowas feelings for the Pilot Odyssey group just faded away?

Where is the rest of his band of mutts that were so worried about the Pilot Odyssey group and POOA?

It was plain to me then as it is now they were all full of shit and as others pointed out full of hoser envy.

Are the old posts all in one big file, or do you have an html page for each thread? There are a few things that come to mind to make them accessible again.

You read all the articles here, their are thousands... You can page back to day one and read them all

it was pilotodyssey.com and after their BS it dwindled to a few posts a week there until kiowa turned it off, evidently due to lack of interest. He and them could of helped EVERYONE by passing that mutually owned info on to the group, shame it became about thier personalities instead of helping the group to fix and ride their machines and just have fun. Anyone of them could of stepped up and stopped it. I see it as an "office" type metality where the person becomes more important than the cause, this is not the way our great country was built. Sounds like socialism but if you have a bunch of gracious guys like us it works! and has for years save a few.
