My sons best friend rides my 350s more than I do, and really wants one...well he found one down in Denver Colorado. He sent me some pictures last night. The guy told him some local hoodlum kids(Jerry?) set the Engine area on fire. Engine still turns. He wants $400-500 for it. I told him to buy it or I will have to. lol What do you guys think?

Gary

Well it's definitely worth the 500 bucks for parts alone! Looks like it burned for a while. The upper air box melted completely off probably adding to the fire. I would have to wonder how much of that molten plastic has dripped down over the top of the head and cylinder. It,s going to be quite a bit of cleaning to get that solidified unburnt plastic cleaned off.

Any idea what the fire did to the wiring harness, carb boot and fuel system?
Anyway it looks like a good project to work on for the winter!

Rand

I told him to get it. I have tons of parts, including tons of stock parts...6-8 air boxes, intakes, wiring harnesses, etc and should be able to get it repainted n running in a weekend(hopefully). He should be looking at it today.

You need another project :-) Well you need to get your kid wrenching on it and you supervise him...

Price is great heck I would take it for that.

Hey Gary, you calling me a hoodlum or a kid? Actually looks like a pretty good deal, especially if you have enough parts on hand to fix it up. Jerry

Jerry, I heard you have been running with some gang bangers, yo gee! lol
Want to go watch KC beat the Donkos this weekend in Denver?

The kid is getting it so he will have it over here soon, just got 6+ inches of snow yesterday n 7 degrees this morning. Winter has arrived in Wyoming!

Thanks for the offer Bogger, have to see what it needs first. I do have a fairly good stockpile of parts, but you never know.

I have 2 350s on the fence line that need put back together, that will be the father/son project. My boy wants one olive drab n black wheeled one...great, lol.

I'll get some pictures up as they get worked on.
Gary

Gary, Let me think, would I prefer to watch that or go get a root canal...... I hope some team from the west can get into the playoffs, and I would prefer KC to Oakland.

We did clean n salvage the starter (full of water too) and used a spare engagment end on it. The original was frozen with rust. Got the new wiring harness, electronics, and spare Engine back in too. Couple pics from this morning...don't make fun of my messy garage! lol :-)
