I guess its time to start the build thread

To start:
A nice semi factory oddy fl350 bought from Slick rick
Issues..blown factory straight fin motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? ))>>LOL
that's Ok,she's getting the works done
Mods when bought
High hp comet 94c{never seen this one before}
aftermarket exhaust with silencer{not sure on make}
progressive rear shocks.

The plastics were all in great shape when I bought it!
THANKS to the shipper ,THEY ARE TRASHED NOW! {Jeff@ atv and bike transport out of az}
A word of advice..don't use USHIP!{cost me 2 fenders and a tub!+ shipping..$532.00}
I am passed that now,but it still sucked!

My plans!!!!
420 cc briggs motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? ))!{approx 65 to 70 hp after detune I hope!}NASTY!!!!!!
fully liquid cooled head and jug
40 mm carb
tweaked 102 c with purple spring
full race exhaust
nice large alum rad with fans
water pump
450r front end..Lt a-arm set up{complete brakes,etc}
HID lighting{ebay}

Well I thing that's what I'm starting with..lol

I will be posting lots of pics as the build go,I will be starting this next week for sure

I would love to hear any advice from any of you guys that have been at this for a while...

!!!!!!!!!I NEED SOME IDEAS ON HOW TO DETUNE THIS MONSTER A BIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right now she is running on 110 octane and sitting around 80hp!
I would it to be able to run on 93+ and not have to rebuild every 10 hrs!
I know that they are total loss motors,need to change that!!!
I do have extra motors and parts,so I hope it wont be to hard to get it done.

Gary will be helping me with this thing the whole way {I HOPE}
here are a few pics to get this thread started

Kuda are you building a race car or a play car?

Are you VERY familiar with tuning 2-strokes?

I would imagine that Engine is not going to be very friendly in a play car.

I am looking to build a very quick playcar,,If I want to race it..I can
But i don't want to have to rebuild evry 10 or 15 hrs either,I would like to be able to run on 93 or 95 octane
I have played with 2 strokes for a while now,mainly when I was younger on my dirtbikes...never on a competition level

like what NUKE EM drives,,fast and fun

BTW..I do have an extra fresh 350 sitting on the bench,If I can tame the BEAST!,
Good thing it only takes a little bit to swap out motors!
If I wanna get serious I swap the motors out,I would like to be able to do both with one though..lol

I would have to install and run it as is on the race gas just to see what it will do :-)

Contact the Engine builder to see what needs to be done to make it more for play other than lowering the compression ratio?

What are the part numbers of that piston and wiseco box shown in the picture, does it list the application on the box?

Is the pipe going to fit into 350 chassis? PLEASE PLEASE don't start cutting and modifying the pipe if it don't fit!!!!!!!

special care and considerations need to be taken to do it right, do it wrong and it might cut the power in as much as 1/2 it also might change the tune of the Engine so much every time you run it it cost you a piston because you can no longer get the jetting correct, disregard ALL the pipes you have seen modified on this site I have NOT seen one that was done correctly, the chances of you or anybody you know doing it right on your own is slim to none!

The higher the tune on a 2 cycle Engine the more finicky the Engine is to jetting the higher the tune the more sensitive the exhaust is to modifications, changing the length of the exhaust ass little as 1/4" can throw off the whole tune of the Engine and keep burning up your pistons.

ALL my talk about modifying the pipe also includes THE SILENCER!!!
your NOT working on a 4 stroke where about anything goes to modifying the exhaust system. A highly tuned race Engine like this had the silencer engineered into the whole Engine system they just didnt get it all done then cobble a silencer on the end o they could pass tech inspections.

If it was mine and the choice was to relocate the gas tank or cut and modify the frame to accept the pipe without mods I would be cutting the frame and relocating the gas tank...

I seen on one of the engines Nukem post pics of some dumbass had used red silicone sealer on the Engine the ONLY place you will ever need to use silicone sealer on any Pilot or Odyssey will be where the exhaust pipe meets the cylinder on the Engine, then when you install the silicone you wont get any inside the exhaust port or pipe (flow path of the exhaust) and you will allow the silicone to cure for at least 24 hours before attempting to start the Engine or even crank the Engine over, the pulse from the Engine cranking with uncured silicone will cause the silicone to leak.

Thanks hoser
I have the silencer too,I have not checked that it will fit in the oddy yet without modding ,it will fit the 360 and the 420 by changing the header
I also have another aftermarket pipe that will fit the 360,I think it is a dg or powerpro,it is in the oddy pic at the top of thread
The bills pipe was used on one of the monster motors I think,

I am not cutting or modding anything till I am sure

Ed
btw, the piston is a .40 oddy 350 piston

Where did you get those motors from, and who built them please.I have seen a motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) similar to them years back, did Nuke-em hook you up with them? I would really love to see more of those motors, you selling any of them by chance?

Your just assembling the top end? Now would be the time to learn to do it yourself its not that hard, you will spend a small fortune in shipping to send it to someone..

First start would be to read the service manual to see what your getting into then make sure to ask any questions your sure to have.
