Pilot is on it's way-should be here this week for sure-more to come!!! Going to build this ride for my buddy to ride with me. Plain and simple that's why I bought this thing. It needs work and Factory 45 has been forthcoming with me in regards to it's present condition. Thanks to him for getting this deal done for me.

2800 Pilot left my shop this morning...on its way to Rochester...then to Mudd's garage. Dan was pretty cool and we got her loaded and strapped and down the road.

Dan is a great guy-old as heck but 1 hell of a driver!!!! I will ask the owner if he is interested in giving us fellas here a discount for picking up Pilots and such. I have used these fellas many times in the past for 3 wheelers, they usually go East Coast only.
Thanks for helping put Steffan!!

So she must have landed? Awesome :) Did you drain the tank, charge her up and give her some life yet? I was able to see the indicator lamps but batt had not enough juice to kick out the pinion lol.

Have your heard from service honda yet? Are all those parts still available? I thought the Engine gasket set was discontinued.

So did I Kartman just ordered one and had it sent here a week ago for his Engine, 3 of the gasket sets and the seals on his list are for me :-) Should try to order the trans set too?

Got the Pilot yesterday. It is everything I thought it was. ALL stock, head to toe. Carb, clutch, exhaust, harnesses, everything stock. Noticed first things, battery is dead, belt is wrong, air intake tube wrong, floor tub trashed will need replacing, both front fenders are trimmed in the front which I do not like at all, rear fenders are cracked, has heavy duty tie rods, tires and rims good shape, parking brake assembly on the caliper missing,cv's need repair, rear brakes need replacement, small odds and ends like plastic fasteners but otherwise it is great shape. The battery is dead and I want to drain the fuel oil, etc and put fresh in before even cracking it so hope to do so in the coming days.

Got to the Pilot today. Drained the fuel was ok, not to bad. oil came out clean as well. Coolant was good too.Now the bad. Compression is 136-138. now with a 81.5 mm WISECO in there that's dam low compression.Carb slide was very clean and smooth-which was surprising. Carb is stock, Clutch too, exhaust is in great shape for OEM as well. I was going to start it and try to get some fresh fuel and heat it up get a warm compression as well here.

Ran the Pilot for a spell, fan went on,compression is still at 135 psi warm. Not good.Took clutch off, bearing seems ok doki.I am not going to do a leakdown test as the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) is coming out anyway, so why do it? Generally speaking the Pilot is well worth the purchase price, and if I just need a top end the happy Mudbogger will show his face! i HAVE MANY TOP ENDS here in stock, so it is a simple fix. CSI to come from Hoser for sure!!
I'll need to replace the 2 front fenders, floor tub,and I need a e-brake arm and hardware as well. New belt also.
Now I have a used rebuilt powerbloc clutch off my CO pilot at Hosers,a new 39mm PWK carb, a new Power pros full exhaust I can install on this 2800 project. I will install my Yoda LT front end kit on my AZ Pilot and leave this front end stock, there really isnt anything major wrong other then a bushing or 2 needed. just have to make the call.I am going to see exactly what top end if needed I put on here as the previous owner has told me it already has a 81.5 Wiseco in it. I got top ends here with bores left on them, mabye I will keep it mostly stock and save the upgrades for my AZ pilot.Just got to think about it. and see what Hoser says!!

Well since we got hacked I had all the documentation for the Engine build, rear suspension, etc but it is all gone. BLOWS!!!!
Anyway this ride is currently at my buddies garage as I had built it for him and we ride as much as possible! The motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) runs great-no issues with the cr500 rod kit, the NISSAN right side crank case bearing and the rebuilt trans and axles to date. I have installed all new safety harnesses, front tires with a set of STOCK OEM rims all the way around, hood, many new and rebuilt items on this unit!!!
Plastics are all used but in great shape, this is a rider for sure!!
UPDATE ON THE HISTORY OF THE REBUILD

Well after close inspection the front master was leaking fluid so I rebuilt it using an OEM kit I had here.

When I pulled the Engine notice anything in the picture missing?

As usual both rear axles needed to be serviced as per Hosers tech pages:
http://pilotodyssey.com/800reasons.htm" .".." ."..

so off we went and boy were these son of bitches stuck good. At that time I had not fabbed a tool for pulling the splines out so I went to my friends shop and used his puller set to remove both side out of the trans:

This tool works perfectly on these stubs-heres another pic:

As some may remember I had examined prior to removal and noticed the driver's side stub looked off-more to come.

Ok, as stated the drivers side cv looked odd when I examined it-after pulling the stub this is what I found-it was cracked!!

Here is also a great reason to check your splines and axles each year-thisis debris that was laying in the trans shaft between the axles:

Look at the debris inside the shaft-you need to seal this area up when servicing the shafts!

Here is a good shot at the inner cv stub itself-see the wear from poor lubrication? that's from poor grease 100%

Speedchaser bumper and Equiis tach going onto ride in the future as well. The top end I had used for this from my stock is holding up well, the compression is still great and I will not re ring it till after the seasons end.

On the Engine I had used the original jug in the rebuilding and it had a fresh bore with a 82 mm Wiseco but if you can remember the jug had a coolant leak in it, sent it to SPEDCHASER but to no avail- he could not fix it as well,I had actually installed the jug after SPEED welded it and it still leaked, so I had a spare top end from Odykid(yes Odykid remember him!)which was in good shape, had a ART 81 MM PISTON in it and the ring gaps measured within tolerance so I bolted it in, if I remember it had like 178-180 compression. Still using that same top end to date! The pilot had a sock carb on it when purchased,

I installed a used but in great shape 39 mm PWK in the Pilot-looking for picture!
I purchased a set of AFASRCAR SILICONE HOSES FOR THE Engine and they fit like a glove!

Rejetted the 39mm PWK carb yesterday, went to a 185 main, stock DGH needle on middle clip, 55 slow jet, #6 throttle valve. I was concerned since I have seen some leaning out on top end with my other rides and just to make sure I went up a main size on that jet. Worked well, got a much better look of plug after doing several chops.

I installed a set of WORKS rear shock in the Pilot from another project as my friend is a fat tub-HEHEHE but it made a big difference for him!
Also installed the following:
Crow Enterprises 3" harnesses with shoulder pads(black)
ATVR roof(had the thing laying around)
Installed one of my dual air inlet brackets and an AUSSIEDUNER DUAL AIRBOX lid
2 K&N PRE FILTERS with hoses
Uni filter
LED rear brake light(thanks MassOdy!)
ATVR front hood
ATVR 6-pack rear rack
Speedchaser front bumper(love this thing man)!!!
Crow Enterprises hand restraints
As some remember I purchased this Pilot from member FACTORY 45 back some time ago-the prime reason was to build this for my friend who is down on his luck and could really use a pick me up-he has had this pilot since the completion of the build and has loved every ride we have gone on-mission accomplished!!!

Went for a ride yesterday. This Pilot has been a flawless running Engine since day 1. I have always had an issue with steering on this ride, and I had a couple hrs to really look into why it pushes all the time when turning. I am running stock rims front and rear, with Titan 489 stock size rear, 23's on front. These are a 6 ply tire(if my memory serves me) and I have from day 1 had huge issues with the Pilot plowing straight when turning. I measured the tie rods, toe, everything and I am still having issues turning it. Any ideas? I tried it with the toe in, toe out, different rims and tires with larger offsets, it did no good.
Any ideas are welcomed!

I have not heard of this to be honest. All my other pilots that have stock front ends turn really really well, for some reason this 1 pushes badly. I tried tires, rims, only thing left is too lower tire pressures and try that currently. I would like to get this thing back to a good radius.
