Its only going to get worse, looks like its aftermarket gasket sets from now on.

That cylinder had welding on it not really sure why but its a nice welding job don't see it being a problem, will post pics later the pics I took were just to crappy to post I need to take them in sun when it comes out I will take some.

I hate to mention this but I might have to start hoarding Pilot parts soon, it is really becoming harder and harder to actually take the time to cross referrance parts on other Honda Models and search for items via Ebay, private sellers, etc. My time after work these days are spent on the computer doing such. I really have a great appreciation for those who do it for the group.

Ok found this site tonight. They seem to have most of these discontinued dowels we need for the bottom ends.

http://www.hondapartsnow.com/

94301-12200
PIN, DOWEL (12X20)
94301-14200
PIN, DOWEL (14X20)
94301-10160
PIN, DOWEL (10X16)

The application of the site is automotive but the dowels are the same size and diameter. I ordered all 3 of the dowels listed as discontinued in this thread,we will see if they do indeed come in. I am hopeful.Anything helps right?

Ok here we go.
Got a box from SERVICE HONDA today. Everything they told me that was discontinued and listed in this thread ACTUALLY came in today!!!
I dunno what they have got over there but I will update the list above with the items that ARE NOT DISCONTINUED!!
I have no idea what goes on at SERVICE HONDA but it pays to just order the parts anyway. I wish they could get there act together sometimes as I thought these were never going to be found again!!!!!

I believe Hoser has assemblied the bottom end already on this Engine. I have forgotten if we were going to bore and install new Piston? I had ordered 2 81mm Wiseco's but this jug may have fallen through the cracks as far as pistons go-did you have the time Hoser to check to see if i I need to order a 80.5 piston kit or did I ship you 1 already from my stock?

OPPS CHECK THAT-Reread the thread and see a 81mm Wiseco was ordered and shipped to you for this cylinder, my apologies sir!

Yes air Speed completely rebuilt the crank, installed new everything. Runout is now within tolerances. Engine cases as well needed some tending too- let Speed post on what he had to do on them.
Oh yeah you saved yourself time and cash for sure! I knew when purchasing it was going to need some help but think in the long run to save the Engine it is well worth the time and cash.

New rod installed by Speedchaser
Cases lapped to correct bad weld area by Speedchaser
New crank bearings, seals, the small counter balancer bearing, water pump rebuild, new seals bearing etc.

On the water pump rebuild is there anything special to getting the new mechanical seal in? I know the old 1 was a bitch to get out and had what looked like lock tite on it. The new seal has the blue stuff as well. Just asking before I screw up a $45 seal.
