Here is another one for the buggy builders, this car was built in WI by a guy named Paul (sorry forget his last name) he wanted to build a class of 'lite' cars to run the SODA class so he built 6 cars just enough to build and hopefully keep the class going, this was a well build car but it weighed like 1200 lbs other cars in the same class were 650 to 700 lbs, his goal was to build a SAFE car not the fastest cars he use .120 wall tubing on pretty much the whole car and I think he said the frame only had 4 bends in the whole frame proving that you don't need to buy a tubing bender to build a frame you could easily take your tubing to someone that had a bender and get the 4 bends done saving you about 500 bux, he did own a tubing bender at the time it was just his choice by design to not use 100 bends and said his design was stronger without them.

Rear, going by memory the Engine was a kawisucki 440, class rules required a silgle pipe, it was a Bill's pipe, oil injected, the belt and clutches was totally enclosed and used a blower to force air for cooling it worked well.

Almost a air box covering the K&N filters all these guys seem to like, its really a different application than most of us use our buggies for, they race for 20 minutes then the filters are changed to a fresh set for the next heat so I guess that's why you don't see an sealed air box and pre-filters like on my Pilot that will go 20-40 hrs between filter changes, others see pics like these then without thought tout 'racers use K&N' like it means something...

Front suspension pics.

Those nasty FOX AIR shocks again, they worked very well on this car too.

From the pics it has many similarities of the older briggs cars. How did it do up against the EEE and the Briggs considering its weight?

He did ok , one year he took the champonship but the OX racing team had alot of DNF's whilst playing wiht the clutching, his goal was to build a safe car, a car where someone would not get hurt in a crash, I called them a 'tank'

I might have a few I will look, Don V ended up buying the jigs from this guy and built one car for himself, later on Bubba66 ended up with this car, then sold the jigs and everything to LIEwire who was going to go into production building and selling these cars, it never happen but a few years later LIEwire ended up buying the jigs and "rights" to build the Drakart Formula Cross this has never happen either I am starting to think he is just a jig collector not a builder, nutten wrong with that :-) http://www.pilotodyssey.com/PO/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3554

Dammit dammit dammit I wish I was about 10 years older! I've recently found out 2 years ago there were 2 Briggs rides sold less than 5 miles from my house, now these jigs were within walking distance. This stuff is just too close. It's alright though. I'll hunt me down a real stadium lite someday. It sucks that these jigs aren't being put to use. Thanks Bullnerd for the link.

Those jigs and a complete car are owned by a guy here in southern Indiana. He was going to build cars but he is not a builder nor does he have a shop. He was not reasonable with shops and race car builders here that could have and would have helped him. He said screw it and put the jigs and a complete car in his barn. They could prolly be bought but who knows how much. Most of us have or are building our own frames at this time. We would of bought one of these if they would of ever been built. However my new frame is bigger (because i don't fit very well in the old lites lol i have a hard enough time getting into my uprite mini sprint) and i run a different Engine system (KFX 700) The car the guy has is nice and pretty fast but it just sits now. I wish someone wouild buy it and the stuff and race it in our midwest xc woods series and Haspin Acres woods series and here at Stone City when we reopen. I hate seeing it just sit. I know he was wanting to sell but don't think he has yet.

Your making me wonder if i can even fit. I'm a big guy myself. Ill hopefully be seeing a Briggs soon. I should be able to Tell by looking. This midwest XC woods racing. What vehicles run in this? Are there a lot of jumps? Could a stock suspended FL350 hang ya think? I may be interested in trying one of these races if it isn't too far away. Thanks for any info

What do you think boss? You've seen stadium lites and me in real life. Do you think I'll fit or is this a pipedream?

Yes he sold them to this guy in my neck of the woods. They are p[retty tight that's why im building my own Im 6 2 and about 205 and it was tight. my minisprint is bad tight but my new offroad cars is much better. but is bigger than the lite or pilots. I have to have foot controls and my pilot was not a good fit for me. I like the smaller car racing so i make it work. The midwest west series is here in indiana and runs utv's and will allow mini buggies and pilots if they want to race. They don't run utv's at all races though and the utv classes run on sat evening. The next race is June 9th in Greencastle IN Not to far from Ill. They are a great series that have added utv's and want the minibuggies to race. They are an atv motorcycle series with nice tracks

Thanks, I'm 6'2 300 so probably not gonna fit. Is this on like motocross tracks or woods trails? Basically jumps is what I'm worried about. Thanks

Did he have the car listed on minibuggy.net? If so I tried to contact him about purchasing everything he had but never got a reply. If you could contact him please do. Would like to get that stuff out here in the west to get it back racing again. Thanks Rusty

Its a woods series They don't put in jumps but sometimes there are natural jumps but you can roll them. Jumps don't really make or break a woods race so you have nothing to worry about. Yes this is the same guy very hard to get in contact with i will try and get him a message again
