Lower end completely rebuilt by hoser with new crank.Hoserised top end with matching piston and rings.Piston is .40.Also have another hoserised top end with matching piston that's .20,cant find the rings to it,don't know what happened to them.Slight surface rust on cylinder wall from sitting in garage in box,looks like it will just rub off.Other top end I can get more pics of if needed,havent taken out of box since hoser sent it to me.

Was talking to my son last night he is game on the aluminum welding so he is going to get me the parts numbers of the welder like the son in law has and am going no buy one so we can start welding aluminum in my shop, that being said how much you want for the two cylinders shipped we will need something to experiment on and can start by welding on water jackets as seen on other 350 cylinders.

If you guys get the process down, I have a 78mm bore cylinder I would like to water jacket.

I have one old cylinder that needs a sleeve for the son to cut his teeth on he is really good with aluminum and loves to tig weld, main thing is to make sure have the right setup and filler rod, cool thing is its only holding coolant so once welded I can pressure test it to 100 psi and if it holds should be good for a coolant system.

I don't know how much research you've done and it sounds like your son knows what he is doing but make sure the 200 is powerful enough for what you want to do.A lot of guys say its not for serious aluminum work,aluminum sucks the amps!

Heres mine,basically brand new.The guy had the collet in backwards and was using the wrong gas,said it didnt work.

You think its big enough you seen what we will be welding 1/4" thick would be the max on aluminum, doubt he will need a 100% duty cycle not going to be a production setup, if I let him pick out the welder it would be 500 amp with the water cooled torch etc. lmao

Yes ,it welds thin aluminum(.090)just fine but unfortunately I don't have enough power going to my shop to go any thicker,the lights start flickering!

1/4" is going to be about the max I think,you should probably preheat also to make sure.I'm a hobby welder,I would definetaly ask a real welder about it to make sure before you buy one and are disapointed.

Power wont be a problem in my shop when I built the hoser compound the shop power was sized to run about anything I wanted the house I lived in before this one was the same way as yours if you welded the lights flickered because the tight ass that ran the 220 power from the main box used the smallest wire they sold rather than running one size bigger than you actually needed.

I was looking at the specs its rated at 1/4" plate for steel and aluminum, I will be doing small repairs on cast aluminum and maybe fabricating a skid plate/ gas tank all out of thin aluminum 12 gauge maybe some 10 gauge will be the norm, the cast repairs will be small parts like a cylinder that can be preheated in a oven before welding most the castings I have seen that I would be welded on are all less than 1/4" thick and would be running a weld bead of less than 1' long total.

Best price I have found so far is $2,242.00 No tax + Free shipping I downloaded and am reading the owners manual to see if its really what I want, whats cool is it has adjustable controls for aluminum welding where you can adjust the AC balance for cleaning dirty metals.

My memory is not what it used to be,this cylinder and piston I have I've had in a box a couple yrs and it's starting to come back to me the history.Im pretty sure this is the top end I had on my 350 when the bottom end locked up(which is the one I just sold that hoser rebuilt)
From what I remember I sent the whole thing to hoser and he just had to hone cylinder a little and clean up the piston a little.So since this is not a brand new piston but still in good condition I'm lowering price to 125 shipped if you want it

125 shipped I will take it send it to me I will paypal later tonight heading back out to heat cycle that 350 again, discovered something cool while the Engine is warming up keep holding your hand on the Engine feel what part of the Engine gets hottest first, on this one its the cylinder cooling fins that are above the exhaust port and below the head, gotta get my shit together and order that new welder so I can weld a water jacket on some of these cylinders I bet you don't even need a LC head seems to me a lot of the heat from the cylinder is migrating to the head.
