Ive got a tank from my alabama pilot. inside of the tank is pretty rusty but is fairly straight. Nothing on it except the tank itself. I cant bring myself to throw it out. If someone wants it pay the shipping and a couple bux for the paypal fees and its yours. If it isnt gone soon ill just throw it out. I have no use for it and its just taking up space.

Looks like nick got it as long as he is okay with condition. I did the por-15 treatment and electrolysis once and its just a pain in the ass. I wont have a stock pilot so i don't feel like putting in the effort lol. Just was tired of it sitting around in my shop and it smells like rotten gas. I couldnt bring myself to throw it out so i figured id basicly give it away.

Thanks

I have done many tanks. IMO POR15 is the best out there. You can do a Pilot tank with a por15 starter kit for about $20. If it's real flaky with rust use electrolysis.

You can also buy the por15 tank liner kit for about $45. I do not recomend Kreem liners. They work but POR15 is much more forgiving and not all the nasty chemicals. Remember por15 likes rust. You have to do the 3 step process or it will fail.

If you buy the starter kit watch my thread above for sure. The starter kit does not give you much chemicals. I talk about all the tips to get you buy.

I did about 10 tanks with kreem before I found POR15. Two of the 10 failed. I have done about 20 with por15 with zero fails. Also if you google "Kreem liner removal" You get lots of threads about it failing. Same search with "por15 liner removal" you get very little if any threads. If you do get any it's how to remove the por15 off metal for the most part.

Rarerat used por15 starter kit on his fl350 as well. Said he even had enough left over to paint the outside of his tank. Gas will not effect por15. Not even paint stripper will effect it. It really is amazing stuff. Best part it's only $20.

My sand blaster said his chemical tank did not effect por15 as well. He had to melt it off. I am also making a por15 paint your fl350 or fl400 thread. It should be doe tonight maybe. If you see it check it out. I think I found a cheap way to paint your buggy and be stronger than PC IMO.

I have had great success bringing old tank to my rad guy, he can boil it and pressurize/flow test the tank, cleans them out really well for a small fee.
