My Pilot is not stock but I don't know the horse power, it has some motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) work, V Force reeds, ATVR torque pipe, power block clutch. What else do I need to pull the wheels.

Is driver weight an issue too, cause I'm a big boy (230lb)?

I'm new to the site so I have some catching up to do in the info department.

Funny you should ask.

I have a Sanity ported, hoser enhanced pilot that I can tell you from experience is NO slouch. Funny part about mine is I can pull a wheelie enough to flip the pilot over (I weigh 220lbs!) when it's cold and leave 3 to 7 foot posi black marks when it's warmed up. I'm sure there is a reason for this, I just don't know it.

Hoser is getting his butt worked off right now but as soon as he gets a chance he'll chime in to why/how/what to do!

IMO Doing a wheelie is not all that big of a deal and it puts a strain on
the drive line but if you must you just need more torque, Lightspeeds
does it when the Engine is cold and not when the Engine is hot because
when the Engine is cold its making less power than when hot once its
warmed up to temp and making more power it just spins the tires.

Your on the right track to making more power but you will need some
internal Engine mods to make more than your making now, I have some
internal mods I can do that might get you into the wheelie mode it will
definitely get you into the tire spin mode, you might have to play with
your clutching adjustments to get it to wheelie and not spin the tires.

Thanks for the info.

Hoser, my pilot is supposed to be ported and polished. The guy I bought it from had it done by Arizona Custom Machine which he said just copyed what ATV Racing does to there engines. If what you do(Hoser Special) is different than the work I have done than I am interested. The power is pretty good but I have nothing to compare it to because this is the only pilot I have ever driven. It has the power to extends the front suspension on take off but does'nt feel like it is close to lifting the wheels.

Wheelie or not, I know it has more power that I can tap into. I have already put a new K&N prefilter on which should give it more air(I think). It seems like it needs to be all tuned up and I have never done that before.

What about moding the Reed cage(getting the flaws out). Does that help alot?

When you take off from a idle on pavement what does the tires do?

What rear tires do you have?

My pilot spends most of it's life in the sand. I run 22x11 paddles.

As for the dirt tires, they are kenda klaw 22x11.

I have only taken it on the pavement twice due too the fact that it always has the paddles on. But when I did I think it just grabbed and went. I don't think it breaks the tires free. It does spin the tires when I make a turn though.

Sounds like your not on pavement often enough to worry about any wheelies I would focus on something else, 22" paddles seem knida small?

Are your "Hoser Enhancements" about the same work as I already have done on my pilot? (see previous post)

Yup if your talking about using power to pull them, in sand you can hit a berm and bump the front end and ride them VJB from CA is a pro at doing them on the dunes (Glamis) I think someone has pics and video clips of him in action.

I seen one Pilot using paddle tires pull a wheelie but it was a tricked out turbocharged Pilot that was said to make over 100hp
