I was getting way to much black dust in the air box
I fabricated a diamond plate bracket to hold the new K&N pre-filters in place.
The pics tell the story.

Sweet!

Where did you find the elbows?

All you need is some pantyhose to put over the filters, I just bought some on clearance for .99 package of 3 :-)
each pair makes 4 pair of covers.

Thanks :-)

Found the elbows in Loews...like $3 ea - it took me some time.....I was going towards the PVC....but thinkin I would have to silicone the tubing into the PVC (didn't like that). Then these elbows just showed up in front of me. NICE!

I do have the stockings....just haven't cut them up yet. Thanks for the direction...I did use that prefilter mod thread you have.

Very excited to test it out.

Where do you tape it up if it gets cold?

I lift the lid on the air box and duct tape the opening from inside.

I was at Lowes looking for some hose that would go from the aircleaner box to the upper intake unit (that has the brake light) but couldn't find anything worthwhile.

What did you guys end up going with for your air intake hoses?

Lowes or Home Depot have replacement shop vac hose 2 1/4 OD diameter I think it is. Just get the shop vac hose. There is a thread for my dual air intake here on my COLORADO pilot that shows the exact hose I got. Works great.
