I'm trying to replace my rotor and I got stuck trying to remove the cv stub from the transmission, I have a three jaw puller with a slide hammer attached through the center, and this thing will not budge
Any Ideas???

Thanks
Bob

Go here http://pilotodyssey.com/pilottech.htm
Look for "800 Reasons why you need to take your axles out and inspect the splines (10-25-00)"

There is also some writings on " stubborn axle removal"

Looking at the amount of rust on your Pilot I would say you need to spray both
sides with PB blaster 3 times a day for a few weeks and let it soak, then try the
slide hammer.

If your changing just the disc it will come out without removing the stub shaft?

Also read here

Good luck! The can be a bear to remove, working both sides doubles your chances....

Great idea- skip replacing the rotor. You might end up rebuilding the transmission and final shaft if you ever get the cv out. The splines are probably shot and if it was like mine i ended up rebuilding the tranny and replacing the cv at the same time (big bucks). The rotor can't really be that bad if its oem. What do you stand to gain?
