Anybody that has read "800 Reasons why you need to take your axles out and inspect thesplines"
article probably tried to remove their axles only to find out they are stuck and your
not getting lucky like I was in getting your old ones to come out, I will give you a list of thinks
to try but first I want to make sure you understand that this will take time and Patience, if
you’re short tempered and impatient plan on spending some big bucks.

First you need to buy some PB Blaster, this stuff is incredible at getting things that are rusted
together apart but you have to allow it to sit a few days after being applied, I suggest you tip
your Pilot up on its left side and fill that cavity between the seal and stub shaft and let it as
long as possible spraying it each day and tapping the CV housing with a small hammer, Remember
tap because any time you are taping on that stub the bearings inside the transmission are taking
all the beating, something a roller bearing was not designed to do.

If you get lucky after a few days of soaking and taping you might get one to move and actually
come out, if not now your going to need to take apart your inboard CV joint so you can access
the inside of the stub axle shaft, turn to the page in your service manual where it shows taking
apart the CV's to inspect and replace the grease.

Once apart and all the grease removed you need to drill a 1/8" hole down the center of
the axle, take your time and get it right down the center a stub shaft cost about 180.00
so you don’t want to screw it up, once you get the hole drilled spray it with PB Blaster
again filling the CV cup about 1/4" deep and keep tapping on the CV cup with a small
hammer to make the PB Blaster work its way into the hole, you will also want to be tapping
the CV joint opposite of the one you drilled since the PB Blaster is not reaching that side.

I think it was Radical that made a slide hammer that attaches to the outside of the CV
housing you might see if you can beg and borrow it from him at this point.

If just the PB Blaster is not working you will need to drill the hole out to 1/4" so you can
get a punch in the hole and try to drive the opposite side stub shaft out, keep in mind you
get to abusing the punch in a fit of rage and bend it you will now not only have a stub shaft
stuck but will also have a punch stuck in the stub shaft.

Other things you might want to try before destroying one of the stub shafts is to take an air
impact hammer and buy the hammer chisel attachment, they deliver about 500 blows a minute
and run off of air, work it from every direction and just let it sit there and hammer for an hour or so.

You can buy one of these at Harbor Freight
1/4" punch wont get it out? Now you will need to drill the axle out to 5/16 or 3/8 and use a
larger punch and hammer. When you get to this stage of the game plan on replacing the stub
shaft and after beating the hell out of the bearings in the transmission plan on replacing them also.
PB Blaster Penetrating Catalyst is great stuff!
