This type of tie rod setup is used for circle track racing and is vulnerable when used
off road, you can see it is low to the ground and just waiting for a rock or stump to
come along and snag it.

Here is what it looks like removed, when I get time I will cut them down to normal length
and save them for spares.

I installed a reinforced set of tie rods I already had, later this winter I will remove them 
for painting as they are kind of rusted right now, I wanted to make sure they were going
to work before cleaning them up and painting them.
Notice the ground clearance now.

I added a second mount to support the exhaust using a piece of flat stock and a 
rubber isolator.
