DunePilot does the crash and burn!
"For those who weren't there, the wind was blowing quite fiercely and I was making a high speed turn when the right front
wheel caught, jerking the wheel left, thus tightening the already sharp turn when the left front tire lifted, the wind caught
and over I went. WHAT A RIDE, but an experience I'm not anxious to repeat anytime soon, but probably will...oh well, c'est
la vie. The only damage suffered was a couple of bent front fender mounts and a bent flag mount; which by the way is a
4" long, 1/4" thick straight steel plate. NOT ANYMORE! ;-) Thanks to Red Rider and Hoser, in no time at all we had
straighted all three pieces and I was back in business though with a flag pole leaning a bit to the left. "
DUNEPILOT
He also set a new record for dismount from a rolled over Pilot
" I walked away from that one. I credit my helmet, harness,
and the stout engineering that went into the Pilot"
Checking out the damage
I didn't catch the whole wreck on camera but it
looked to me that he tried a high speed turn and
when the Pilot got lite on one side the strong wind
finished flipping him over.
At any rate it was a cool crash and for some
reason I couldn't get him to do it again so I
could get a better camera angle :-(
