Amsoil Series 2000 After switching to Amsoil Series 2000 oil I ran around play riding and decided to check the plug to see how clean this stuff actually burns, I pulled the plug and was surprised to see that it was almost white, before switching from Golden Spectro (32:1) to Amsoil (32:1) I recorded my EGT highest reading and read the plug, the highest reading was 1147 and the plug was its normal dark brown almost black color, I ran the gas down until I ran out, switched to reserve then headed back to drain the rest before filling with the Amsoil mixture, I was running the same jetting as I have been for the past 3-4 years + or- 1 main jet size and 1 notch on the needle clip setting, the highest EGT reading was 1150 after running with the new tank of Amsoil. Here is my plug (BR8EV) after about 15 minutes of play riding with a 500' WOT run and coasting to a stop, not doing the traditional plug chop.Look close at the picture below you can see the top of the electrode is starting to round over, this plug is on its 4th season, I will probably retire this plug at the end of this season.
I am trying to get a picture of the Porcelain insulator deep inside.
Here is a new BR8ES after 15 min of play riding (1/2-Full throttle) then driving at 1/4 throttle for about 1/2 mile to get back to the parking lot.
The only color I see is on the base of the metal part of the plug and around the reach area.
