Here is what happens when the cover washer pulls through the outer cover
of a Power Block clutch, this clutch has about 40 hrs on it, Harold at HRD says
the washer wore through the cover, I say the cover cracked then the washer no
longer connected to the cover allowed the washer to spin and wear through the
cover, time will tell.

You can see the clutch is not shifting out all the way.

The importance of keeping the factory belt guard in place can be seen here, notice how
head of the bolt was pulled through the plastic when the cover came off and the engine
revved to who knows how many RPM.
Below is another example of how far the clutch is shifting out.

A close up.

2001 Little Sahara Carnage..

Update 6-17-02 Another new HRD curve cover clutch installed before the first spring trip to Little Sahara, below are pictures of the clutch after the second trip to Little Sahara, I am going to do some testing to see why how far it shifts out, here is new Honda belt. You can see it is not shifting out Marking the clutch real well with a marker New belt installed. See how hight it rides in the driven clutch. Almost no sag. Here is after running WOT for 1-1/2 miles and the engine reaching 7800 RPM, still not shifting out.
