I just went out and bought a 6v 30w headlight for my 78 FL250 and hooked it up and everything works well with it.
My question is: Am I able to go buy another light 6v 30w and hook it up as well and run both of them on this 6v system? Or is there a way to convert this machine to 12v?
Thanks in advance for the input.
Outta

I don't think the stator can put out that many amps. if you add another they will both be dim or not work most likely

If you want more light i suggest purchasing the goki starter. You will then be able to connect a 12v light set to the battery.

The Goki DOES charge the battery from the 6v system.

I believe the 6V system is AC (Alternating current) and goki kit includes some sort of a rectifer or diode something or other and this converts the 6V ac to charge the battery.

Hopefully someone who knows more then me will explain in more detail.

I've got one on my 1977 fl250 and the battery does get charged. I do not know if it will keep up if you use some lights that realy draw alot of juice, but it should keep up with regular lights.
