not sure but considering getting rid of my 89 pilot.just wondering what exactly i could get for it. i have an idea and was putting it out there to see if i get any offers i like. im considering getting a razor s model because of my family situation. i can take pics and email em to any serious buyers with real offers via private email ( don't wanna waiste either of our time). runs, in good shape, newer rims tires, full aftrmarket exhaust, new aftermarket front and rear shocks, belly and front skid plates, speed chaser cool head, also comes with a brand new in box yoda extended front a arm kit! can discuss further and give any details i know of on the machine to any serious buyers. both myself and the machine are located in Hobart,IN 46342 for any interested. ive got a number in mind as i know how much$ ive got into it- just the suspension alone (shocks and a arm kit) ive got over $3000 in it. any suggestions on price would be apreciated as well. thanks for your time once again fellas

the guy who owned it before me supposedly rebuilt the top and bottom end, had the rollcage off and painted, put on the exhaust and clutch, modified the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) box. ive had her for a couple years and have done my best to take care of her.if the pilot does get sold i would prefer to do so to someone on here, who will apreciate the glory of a pilot. but i wont give the machine away. ive always wanted one my entire life and truly love that machine: she just only has one seat.family. she is definatly not perfect and could use a wrench or two on her in a spot or two but overall its no junker for sure.
i also hav a new aftrmarket front bumper. plastics are in very good shape. rollcage is excellent, seat no tears, frame is in decent shape: scraped up a bit but original red still. lights are good, tires are in +90% shape, brakes are good, everything works including all dash lights and parking brake, i have 2 Engine skid plates and the original shocks still, a box or two of old Engine parts, the original front bumper and plastic plate. original head still,an extra roof plastic, original header pipe.

i do believe she needs a bearing in the rear wheel, right side. start sounded crunchy so that's when i stopped riding her for fear of eating up the hub/ knuckle. not %100 but that sounded like the prob to me. other than that she would start right up and rip down the trail for an awesome time.

Usually by time you can hear the bearing making a noise or see play in the bearing the damage is already done their is little to no room for error with the rear bearings at the least and best case the distance sleeve between the bearings gets damaged and needs replaced.

I learned this the hard way.

Speedchaser has repaired a few of them viewtopic.php?p=38108

I don't follow the price thing that close but I know others do watch Pilot pricing pretty close take some detailed pictures and list all your mods I am sure someone can chime in, the suspension upgrades should bump the price up :-)

Turbotexas sold his pilot to muddbogger for 4000 with tons of mods. There are 3 on ebay for under 5000. There are 3 out here in Socal close to 4000 1for for 4600 1 for 4100 and 1 for 3999. You might be better off selling the a-arm kit by its self and listing the pilot for around what others are asking and see what you get.

this is the craigslist add. don't know if i did that right though. pics in ad don't have the works shocks in them though cause they are older pics.and i just put shocks on before i parked it. also the front bumper, belly skid plate and front skid plate are not in the pics because they are still new and were never evn put on yet still to this day.

actually at 2nd glance the two bottom pics are the ones i just took like a week ago, they show the cool head and you can see the black springs of the front works shocks. and you can literally see how dusty the pilot is from sittin in my garage cause of the dual doors. so those are new pics, but i will wash her and take some better detailed pics so everyone can see how clean she is.
