An RPM gear box is big money in comparison to the cost of an Odyssey or Pilot..
New they are in the 2000.00 dollar range and if someone has one, it is typically attached to a really cool car with history ... There was one listed on e bay for a buy it now price somewhere near 1200.00 mark ... I will look and see if I can locate it.
Regards

Got it. And it's less money than I thought ...

Yup, and it was just rebuilt and came with a clutch and shifter.

I don't believe they had a power rating for the box the last time I looked at the site... Or maybe I missed it, either way ....now it's listed and at a 170hp rating that is quite impressive .....
I need to do a search and see if anyone has info good or bad about this box.

Proto die sells a "high hp" and "low hp" version for $2.5k and $2.1k, resp. But that doesn't include the other stuff. They're rate 300hp and 100hp, resp.

Does anyone have an Oddy or Pilot with an RPM or Team box in it? I can't recall if I've seen one nor can I find one. Plenty of other non-Honda ones with it.

Thanks, that's also the only one I can find. Ain't pretty, but it gits-er-dun. There are plenty of bigger buggies & rails using spools or the big Jeffco/Toms boxes, but not easy to find project details on the RPM.

Just wondering what the cost/hassle delta would be between making custom axles for a stock Oddy 350 box versus finding a decent FNR. The custom-axle thing is something I'd like to shy away from. Its been the stall point on my LT project (besides having no effing free time).

Seeing an RPM sell for $1G has put me into "ponder mode". Hey at least I'm on my lunch hour! :-)

That RPM that sold was setup for 930's. Is that kinda' overkill for a sled Engine conversion on a single seater? Granted the Rotax 670's are rated at something like 120-140hp. And let's totally ignore the power versus roll-cage safety stuff for discussion purposes.

I saw that Protodie makes/sells Rhino 660 axles with 930 inners for $150. Are these just Rhino-fitting outers with 930-matched inners? I assume you'd have to use the Rhino carriers (not nearly as available as the RZR stuff), or otherwise use the stuff P-Die is selling/making. Does anyone else make 930 parts that can swap in/out of UTVs?

Otherwise you'd need to come up with something more custom, which isn't nearly as simple as using a RZR XP900 carrier, hub, & brakes. The RPM trans with the RZR XP carrier would be about as simple & drop-in as you can get (radius arms would be simple). Should be plenty tough for the 100-150hp single seater with droves of economical spare parts support.

*****RPM GEARBOX FOR SALE*****

Anyone interested in buying this RPM F-N-R? I bought it on a whim with cash burning a hole in my pocket and it's been sitting on my shop shelf in a rubbermaid tub since. I've got other projects that could use the funds. :-)

Comes with RPM 10:1 box, never used since rebuilt by RPM, shifter w/ linkage, (1) Team driven clutch w/ new bearing, (1) new set of 930 cv cups, and (1) set of the 930 cups it came with (bought a new set in error).

You pay shipping (in a Rubbermaid tub, zip-tied shut, padded for hell & back) from Ohio 43430. Willing to ship worldwide.

PM me an offer. Cash or Paypal. Note: what I paid for it on eBayis irrelevant. ;)

If I don't get any bites on it, I'll put it up on minibuggy, Pirate4x4 and CL. Not dealing with flea-Bay. Not taking a loss.

Thanks!

Dan

PS: I've also got skidoo 670 and 583 complete engines that just need TLC. Whole Engine package with electronics, carbs, exhaust. PM for more info.
