Hello,I recently(this week) got my first 350. I already own a 250 that I had to rebuild the top end and carb on, also added the goki starter, new tank, pump hoses, beadblasted front rims, and replaced alot of missing bolts. I took it to work one day after I had it rebuilt and let someone take it for a spin and the idiot tried to drive under a semi trailer. Ouch! So the frame is bent at about a 45 degree angle behind the seat. That was a very sad day. Oh well the 350 is much more fun and I'll save the 250 for the kids.

I assume that's the last time you let someone non-related ride one of your oddy's?

Where you located?

Yeah pretty much. Though I did let A good friend try out the 350 but i've known him for 20 yrs. He's got a kx250 and we ride together and he's a good deal smarter than the idiot who did the damage.
I live about 30 miles west of ST. Louis Mo.

Have more pics of the ODY bent frame, it looks nasty, glad nobody was hurt.

You have a line on a replacement frame?

Here is another pic. The guy driving it was very lucky. If he had been wearing the belt I believe he could have been really hurt. The reason it bent was that it got wedged at an angle and then the guy squeezed the gas and really wedged it in there and bent the frame. We tried to lift the front of the trailer with a 7000lb. forklift but the trailer had been loaded that morning. So jacked up trailer picked up ody with forklift and set in my truck.
I had the guy who wrecked it get me another frame from ody salvage. Unfortunatly the cross member that the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) and roll bar mount to has bad cracks . I believe I have a way to fix that.

welcome to the board, always nice to see new 350 guys here. I don't think I have ever seen an odyssey with a frame quite that bad.

It's been kinda crazy lately.
I just started a new job last week. Right now I'm trying to get caught up with other work that I had before the new job.
I have not had any time to work on it in a while and right now its more of a tool storage rack. i will get it cleaned off and rolling tomorrow and post some pics.

Ouch for sure. DAAAAMMMNNNNN! I had a shoulder that would dislocate easily from a HS basketball dunk gone way bad, really sucked. I finally had the ligaments reconstructed/reattached and I am 100% with it still, 17 years later.

Speedy healing to you, hope you do not need surgery.

Gary

yeah it was a whole new kinda pain. It did ease up quite a bit after the doc reset it.
fortunatly it was a pretty low speed move. If I had been going faster it probably would have been worse.
No breaks just a bad dislocation although I'm hearing that a break would have healed faster.
I won't know full details until I see the doctor on friday.
First time out this season and I do this. Them snowboards is dangerous.
Here is the after pic.
