I've been browsing these forums on/off for years. I'm most definitely a "honda guy."
Besides owning two civics, two accords, a crv, and various honda power tools over the years, I've been obsessed with the Honda fl400 pilot since I was a wee lad.

The time has come.
I'm hoping the experienced folks on this forum can give me a hand in finding a well maintained specimen in the NJ/NY area.
I've actually found one which seems to be in good condition, with lots of OEM replacements parts (tires, wheels, brakes, tie rod ends, clutch, knuckle joints, belts, throttle cable, side bars). Also has a lexan windshield and winch installed.
Price... $7200.

Does this seem like too much in your opinion?

I'v ran across that pilot for a bunch of times. The price seems a bit high for the typical maintained pilot. I could be wrong though... I am a 350 guy. I am sure you can talk the guy down a bit on it. Considering its been listed for at least 6 months now.

Check with Mudbogger. He is a highly respected member of this forum and may have a pilot or two for sale in that area. You can check out some of his rebuild threads on this site, and he stands behind his builds when he sells them.

Yep, that price is too high. Mud could get you onto something like new for that kind of money. He's in New Jersey to. Please don't buy the one I'm all googly eyed over though!

dttuner stopped by today at the Mudbogger compound, nice fella he was. Showed him some of the rides at the garage,let him ride the CA Pilot, he definitely is a good guy and looking forward to helping him in future with his Pilot if he purchases 1.
