I remember reading once how a group of environmentalist wanted to close all of the grand canyon national park because of the foot trail you use to hike to the bottom of the canyon was causing erosion they even provided pictures, if you zoom out just slightly you could see the mile wide and mile deep erosion that had already happen naturally lmao

I sent a email asking if they wanted to block the flow of water or divert the water at the bottom of the canyon to prevent future erosion problems, never got a reply....
