Put the battery wiring back in. Also did you check the contacts in the run switch? Is your ignition switch plug connected tight? Have you ever had spark? Are you holding the plug to the head to check for spark? Did you check the resistance at the pick up inside the Engine? Is the pickup clean?

Why bypass? I would replace the harness with an uncut unbypassed harness with the battery stuff. Also test all the resistance of you electronic components per the manual to it can only be a few things.
Bad ground
bad CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition)
bad coil
bad run switch
bad stator
bad pick up
Bad harness.
It will be tedious but your gonna have to sit down with a tester and test each one.

I thought you were being sarcastic. When you said you havent replaced the key. So your ignition switch hasnt been changed? that's next on the list.

I understand but just because you replaced it doesnt mean it works. You obviously still have a problem and with putting all new stuff in something STILL doesnt work so you will have to check all the new stuff to see which part is defective. I have had a brand new coil not work before. And ended up trying parts off of a running machine to finnally track the problem down to the very part I bought new.
