I need the keeper that holds the o-ring on the piston shaft for the fl350. I don't have one and my caliper is leaking around the o-ring on the parking brake side. I read the other posts that say without it it will leak.

Thanks for any consideration
Keith

I have the o-ring part # 28 but mine had a small flat rubber ring on top. There is a post from 04/22/2006 from member wyeeeoddy with a picture of part # 28 and the keeper. I need the keeper for the o-ring. I may be wrong but do you need this keeper or will just part # 28 do the trick. my caliper has been cleaned out really good using scribes for all the grooves which were filled up with junk. I put all new seals in it and when I bleed the brakes it leaks still. I know you have a tons of knowledge and experience with these machines so any advice will be greatly appreciated. I used to talk with Randy alot. I could usually fix everything with his help but unfornately he is not able to help.

I have tried to chase down the metal Ring that is a press fit that holds the O ring Part #28 in place with out it the O ring
move back up the brake piston arm. I ended up using a Key ring coil it was a push in fit but it works
in the pic the top is the O ring and the bottom is the keeper. The keeper is very soft and must be put in square

I had trouble with both my Calipers after their rebuild leaking around the piston, but i found once the new seals had been used
and abused the leaks stopped

Okay thanks, so I definetly need a keeper. Would you happen to know what size key ring coil I will need ? I have not had any luck getting the factory one so far. I have 3 rear calipers and would like to rebuild 2 so I will have a spare.
