Just wondering anyone know how to get years of oil out of them?
whats in there anyways?

I have heard of people placing the muffler in a fire and letting it burn the oil off of the inside. then after it cools taping it and knocking out all of the dried carbon out. it needs to be down in the coals of a nice bonfire. could add some good flavor to a hot dog o marshmallow. :-) :-) :-)

The inside of a stock exhaust system is insulated not sure what throwing it into a fire would do other than risk of damaging it.

that's the problem I don't know what the insulation is made of.
not sure if chemicals or acid will ruin it

Its the chamber that usually gets the treatment. Don't think I would try it with a muffler.

dam that spark arrestor is huge :shock:
wonder what is does power and Engine heat wise if it's removed

that little access port on the muffler how is that supposed to be used for cleaning?

you stick a torch in there or something?
