Another shitty video that's just a high speed slide show you have anything else that actually shows something?

I notice he used one of the pictures I took at Little Sahara about 10 years ago without my permission

Why do people waste their time comping a POS video like this?

Yeah, the dude did the whole thing on his phone, just ((Bad Word)) around, it wasn't meant to be a major production.

ANY vid or pics that shows the Briggs built cars is good enough for me.

Here are some briggsbuilt pictures you can look at for more than 1/2 second you actually have time for your eyes to focus then see detail haha no POS amateur waste of time video that should have been deleted not uploaded, anybody that was impressed by that video will probably shit their pants when they see these pictures.

If I was going racing I would buy a briggsbuilt.

If I was going to build my own buggy and could not buy a briggsbuilt I would make a exact copy of one.

If I was going to move up to a fuller sized race buggy for race or play I would scale up a briggsbuilt.

Nobody can build a car themselves for what SlickRick is asking for his, YES you can build a POS that will take you 2 race seasons to fix all the bugs and get it dialed in by time you add up all the cost you lost your ass and could have bought 2 cars like Rick is selling, you think your going to built a better mouse trap go to any of the fab sites and read then think! You like losing money to stroke your own ego built your own, you fabricate for a living build our own :-)

Shit!.. go to a machine shop and ask for a billet gearbox like the one in Ricks car! Probably almost 12k already! Not to mention the shocks!

Cool pics! No video of those early SODA races?

Its an RPM, but not like the ones you can buy now. Whittled out of a solid chunk of aluminum with inboard CVs and quick change gears. Its a work of art! (like the rest of the car if you ask me!)

Gee, I wonder who you are talking about? LOL...OUCH! I just got stung by a MOSQUITO! :-)

I am not 100% sure, but I think my Uncle also built the wide cars with the 2 cylinders. It was pretty cool to see him looking over Rick's car, which my Uncle built, the day we all ran down at Milestone. Then when he watched Rick drive it, he remarks were something like, "Man, back in my day, the racers didn't lift!" Meaning they never slowed down! Rick was not pushing the car as hard as my Uncle was hoping for, but on the same hand, Rick didn't want to wreck the piece of racing history either ha ha ha!

Not 100% sure your uncle worked on building the wider cars that were built for OX racing or not but I am pretty sure he did since Bob Briggs flew him to a SODA race in WI to weld on some extra bracing on the rear trailing arms they were bending, they took the bent trailing arms off then put them under the leg of semi trailer and used the jack as a press to straighten the arms out then your uncle welded on the braces, that's where I met your uncle wish now I would have got pics of him and the cars never thought about it back then, then I was using a old film camera and had a limited amount of shots I could take and limited rolls of film.

Your uncle still fabricating?

Those OX cars were featured in one of the ATV magazines about the time Bob was building them it talked about being special built for the SODA series and to accept the twin snowmobile engines, think I have the issue packed away some place.

You can get all the details about the billet trans from Roberto I forget all the details but by putting the CV's in the trans it made the trans narrower allowing longer axles and more rear suspension travel yet maintaining the max width of the rear suspension, OX racing was going to buy those boxes and install in their cars but it never happen if I remember right that is about the time they killed the SODA series.

Briggs cars are not perfect but are near perfect if you get one that has not been personalized by an owner that thought he knew how to modify the better mouse trap in the fleet.

For a short time the Triple E that Joe Price drove at the end of his stadium lite racing career was a big threat to the other fast cars of the day it was tweaked out and dialed in and Joe Was a great driver.

The small pics here http://www.pilotodyssey.com/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=1 were taken off a ebay listing someone found on the web I preserved them for future reference since they were pics of one of the early design briggs cars, feel free to resize them, going by memory the car never sold on ebay and Stoneman sent him a message asking for more detail pictures and made him a offer on the car the guy never replied no clue where it is now thought by now a new owner would have found the pics on the web and claimed it.

That car ended up in arizona and has since been painted red. It was one of four of the natures cars driven by Greg George of funco and by Casey Mears the nascar racer. I know where all the briggs gen 3 cars and gen four cars are. The gen 4 cars never raced in the Mickey Thompson series they were built after that. The Gen 4 car wasn't Designed by Bob Briggs he brought in a F1 enginer to helb give the car more balance and more travel

My Uncle was workin for Briggs at a place called Door Components, making huge industrial size doors for who knows what. They parted way, and he now works for a guy at a small transmission shop and as the crew chief/fabricator/repair man for the oval track car the guy runs. My Uncle has redesigned steering geometry and suspension stuff for the car, and from what I have heard he has made it run better/faster.

Aren't the gen 4 cars and SODA cars one in the same? If not, where are the SODA "wide" cars?
